With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Madeira mustangs

Team Name: Madeira Mustangs
Head Coach: Aaron Pfeffenberger
Division: III
2018 Record: 20-7
Conference Record: Cincinnati Hills League, 11-3 (2nd)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/2

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Experience - return 6 starters 
  • Starting Pitching
  • Leadership - players have been at every weightlifting and open hitting to give ourselves a chance to have a great year.

Coach Outlook: "I am incredibly excited for this group. We are returning a great deal of experience from a team that was incredibly successful a year ago. Our first focus will be to win the CHL as we have not been able to do this in a few years and then we will hopefully be playing our best baseball for the tournament to make a deep tournament run."

PBR Outlook: A year after winning 20 games, Madeira and head coach Aaron Pfeffenberger are back with lots of talent and high hopes for the 2019 season. Look for the Mustangs to have a chance for a league title and tournament run.
