Chagrin Falls (2-0)
started their season with a double header in South Carolina. In the first game, Chagrin Falls defeated Friends Select (PA) by a score of 5-4. Senior Kurt Vidmer pitched a complete game while compiling 6 strikeouts. At the plate, he hit a key triple and drove in two runners. In their second game, the Tigers defeated Laurel Highlands (PA). Once again, Vidmer played a key role by hitting another triple, scoring two runs, and driving in two runs. 

#10 Maderia (1-0) made short work of Shroder in the Cincinnati Reds Future High School Showcase with a 10-0 victory. Junior Andrew Benintendi (Arkansas recruit) threw four scoreless inning and notched his 100th career high school hit.

Walnut Hills (1-0) and senior left-handed pitcher Aaron Frank shut out Clark Montessori by a score of 9-0. Frank struck out ten batters in his impressive performance. Walnut Hill's second baseman put together two hits and three RBI to lead the way.

Turpin (1-0) didn't take long to defeat Western Hills (0-1) in a five inning, 10-0 victory. Senior right-handed pitcher Ryan Pates struck out seven batters over his short five innings of work. His battering mate, senior catcher Robert Humpert, started the season off strong with three hits and four RBI.
