March is finally here and baseball tryouts have officially hit the ground running for Public Schools across the Old Line State. This year, we have decided to keep the same format as last year as we will keep two separate rankings throughout the Spring season. All Maryland Private schools will be considered in this year's weekly PBR Maryland Private Schools Top 10 rankings while only Public schools will be considered in our traditional PBR Maryland Public Schools Power 25. An update to these rankings will be released every Monday throughout the season.

Season Snapshot

The Braves are the reigning 3A state champions and enter the 2022 season with a very different looking roster. Chopticon will look to find production from their younger guys this season, led by Tennessee commit and true Freshman Dillon Adkins. Senior two-way Howard (Allen) Miller Jr (Shepherd) will bring the experience and leadership this season for the Braves, providing key innings both on the bump and at the dish. Key losses of Shawn Cameron (Brunswick CC), VCU commit Aden Hill (Transfer to P27 Academy), Demetri Jamison (Frederick CC), and Tyler Quade (Mount Aloysius) will bring a whole new look to the Braves roster and give plenty of younger players the opportunity to gain experience and make an immediate this year.
