No. 15 Severna Park opened up their 2019 in fine fashion scoring 20 runs and dominating the visiting Centennial Eagles from Howard County. Things didn't start so great however as the Falcons quickly found themselves down 6-0 heading into the bottom of the second. Falcons RHP Parker Jones struggled to find his command in the first inning through the pouring down rain and Centennial capitalized scoring two runs on four walks and just one hit. Teammate and RHP Wesley Adams also found it tough sledding when he came in to relieve Jones for the second inning surrendering 4 runs of his own.

The Falcons bats woke up in the bottom of the second and never stopped for that matter. Camden Handwerger and Josh Horgan opened up the scoring with two-RBI doubles and Evan Lewis capped the comeback with an RBI single later in the inning to tie the game at 6 after two complete. Handwerger and Horgan weren't done as they each blasted home runs in the third to break the game wide-open. The lefty leadoff stick, Handwerger took his out to straight away centerfield to break the tie and Horgan launched a three-run missile way over the fence in left field. After three complete, Severna Park had doubled up the Eagles and were in full control of the ballgame.

Jackson Merrill and Dominic Hall both added two-RBI doubles in the 4th for good measure and Adams settled in after his opening inning, retiring the Eagles without much trouble to pick up the win on the mound. The game was called after four and a half innings with the final reading Severna Park 20 and Centennial 6.
