OKLAHOMA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

As the year winds down, talented players from all levels are still turning in impressive performances. This last week (April 23rd-April-30th) , it was Oral Roberts commit Trey Wolf, RHP from Broken Arrow, that earned the title OK Player of the Week with 13 total shutout innings, including shutting out Jenks to keep BA's chances for hosting a regional alive. 

Trey Wolf RHP / Broken Arrow, OK / 2018

The Oral Roberts commit has a 6-foot-1, 220-pound frame. On the mound last week, Wolf tossed 13 shutout innings. First, and 8-0 win with 13 strikeouts against rival Jenks in a must win game for a chance to host regionals. Then, Wolf threw six more shutout innings against Wichita West.

Chat Hayes, LHP/1B, Grove HS, 2019
A 6-foot, 195-pound frame. The left-hander through a five inning no-hitter in a district game, punching out 11 and walking two. At the plate, Hays went 3-for-7 (.428) with a double and four RBIs.

Zach Douthit, SS/RHP, Dickson HS, 2018
A 5-foot-10, 195-pound frame. The right-handed hitter went 7-for-11 with a double, four RBIs, five runs scored, three walks, and a stolen base. On the mound, the righty tossed a seven innings and earned a win, only allowing two earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out eleven.

Kaden Kirby RHP / SS / Oklahoma Christian Academy , OK / 2018

On a weekend where OCA won Regionals and qualified for the school’s first ever state tournament, Kaden Kirby shined. Kaden is 6-foot-1 170-pound frame committed to Harding University. A leadoff hitter who bats and throws right-handed. On the mound Kaden was 1-0 while giving up only three hits and striking out 11. He lead the Eagles at the plate going 8-for-13 (.615 ) with five singles, two doubles, and homers to go along with two RBI’s and scoring seven runs. He also walked four times.

Jentry Brison, Dewar HS, 2019
A 6-foot, 155-pound lean frame. The hitter went 8-for-12 (.666) and was on base 12-of-16 times (.750).

Kohl Franklin RHP / 3B / Broken Arrow, OK / 2018

The Oklahoma commit stands 6-foot-4, 190-pounds. The right-handed hitter blasted three home runs last week against Jenks and Collinsville.

 

 

Josh Garrett RHP / 1B / Regent Preparatory School, OK / 2018

The NEO commit normally earns his keep on the mound, but last week he did it with the bat. The right-handed hitter with 7-for-14 (.500) with three doubles, a home run, four RBIs, and a five runs scored.

 

 

Thomas Johnson OF/RHP, Dickson, 2018
A physically impressive 6-for-3, 210-pound frame. On the mound, the right-hander tossed 5.2 innings recording a win and a save allowing just one earned run on four hits while striking out a staggering 13 hitters.   

Kade Self 3B / 1B / Shawnee, OK / 2018

The recent Grayson CC commit stands 6-foot-3, 230-pounds. The right-handed hitter went 9-for-16 (.562) with a home run, six doubles, six RBIs, six runs scored, and four walks.
