Today, PBR Oklahoma will take an in-deep look at the 2018 Midwest City Bombers.

SEASON OUTLOOK 

The 2018 Midwest City Bombers will have a new look this year as they return only four starters and one arm that threw over 15 innings a year ago. They will rely heavly on the senior leadership of four year starter  DeClaudio Irvin and three year varsity player Devan Johnson for senior leadership. Irvin and sophomore Kaleb Bedfored both received post season awards this past season and will be counted on again. If Midwest City can find their way to the state tournament this year, they will end a 10 year drought. Offensively, Irvin, Oshei Whiteside, and Johnson will likely lead the way for the Bombers. Irvin and Whiteside could be joined by sophomore Pierliss Cooks and will make one of the fastest top three hitters in the state, while Johnson will supply pop in the middle. On the mound, Bedford will likely be on the front line along with newcomer junior Chris Vardaman and Johnson. Defensively, Irvin will lead the way in the infield from SS, Cooks will captain the outfield in center field, and junior Brenden Grigsby should be solid behind the dish for the Bombers.
