Aaron Harlamert, C/SS, Coldwater, 2016

6-foot-2, 170-pound skinny body frame with room for added strength. Catcher, has a quick transfer to release, has a tendency to get to tall on throws to second that produce a pop of 2.0-2.15, and reached a top velocity of 76 mph. From shortstop he shows good footwork using, showing fluid type actions. Showed quick release with clean short arm action reaching a top velocity of 78 mph. Looks more natural as an infielder at this point. Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance getting back to even, with his weight slightly starting back more on his back leg. Uses a small hands back trigger, would benefit from added strength to his frame. He reached a top exit velocity of 84 mph.

Aaron Kucia, LHP/1B, Cuyahoga Heights, 2016

6-foot-3, 197-pound good athletic body frame. Did not show defensively at first-base on this occasion. Left-handed hitter starts with a slightly open stance getting back to even, hands back trigger gets close to arm bar, uses an inward turn with front foot for timing, shows the ability to use both parts of the field reached a top exit velocity of 79 mph. Ran a 5.00 from home to first. From the mound he uses a quicker paced delivery with some momentum, has average armspeed coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball was 77-80 mph with some tail to it. Curveball was tighter showing some signs of sharpness at 69-72 mph, Slider had similar action at 70-71 mph. He also flashed a changeup using fastball armspeed at 72 mph.

AJ Kimes, LHP, 1B, Aurora, 2016

6-foot, 170-pound average body frame. Did not show at first-base on this occasion. Left-handed hitter starts with a wide, balanced set up. Uses weight shift with lower half to back leg for power, uses a toe tap for a timing mechanism, does not use a hand trigger. Showed doubles type pull power reaching a top exit velocity of 75 mph. Ran a 4.85 from home to first. From the mound the lefty throws using a clean arm action with average arm speed coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball was 77-80 mph. Had a little trouble with consistently commanding his curveball on this occasion it showed downward break at 66-67 mph.

Alec Shanks, SS, Beavercreek, 2016

5-foot-9, 165-pound body frame. Short stop showed ability to make plays, needs to improve smoothening out his footwork, threw from ¾ slot at 74 mph. From the right side he starts with a balanced set up, uses an inward turn with his front foot, hands tend to drop during trigger, had a 80 mph exit velocity. Ran a 4.77 on his BP swing.

Anthony Lind, 3B/RHP, Gahanna Lincoln, 2016

Athletic 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame. Third-baseman uses short arm with slinging arm type arm action, coming from ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 76 mph. Hands were a little unsure on this occasion. Left-handed hitter start with balanced set up, uses an inward turn with front foot, and a good hands to back shoulder trigger. Has tendency to dive in at times, needs to improve overall balance in swing. Had a top exit velocity of 85 mph, and ran a 4.58 down the line.

Austin Hinds, SS/OF, Little Miami, 2016

5-foot-11, 160-pound thinner, athletic frame. From the infield, he shows good actions to work with, plays through the ball for the most part. Has a good quick release, and showed ability to cover some ground. Reached a top velocity of 77 mph. Right-handed hitter starts with an open set up squaring himself back to even, no hand trigger used in swing, has a tendency to chop at the ball, would like to see him level swing out. Ran a 4.33 down to first base.

Bobby Brokamp, OF/RHP, Walnut Hills, 2016

6-foot-1, 160-pound skinny frame with lots of room to fill, and add for strength. Outfielder uses a shorter arm action coming from an upper ¾ slot with a top velocity of 84 mph. Shows pretty good actions and uses a good crow hop as well. Right-handed hitter starts with a balanced set up, with good hands back trigger, line drive hitter type now and power should increase as he gains strength to frame, reached a top exit velocity of 79 mph. Ran a 4.22 to first base.

Brendan Alas, 3B/2B, St. Francis DeSales, 2016

6-foot-1, 170-pound athletic body frame. Third-baseman shows good athleticism from the position and the ability to move well laterally. I would like to see him play through the ball more consistently. Shows a quick release when he needs it, and short clean arm action reaching a top velocity of 77 mph. Offensively, he starts from a balanced set up, uses an inward turn with his front foot, and has a short hands back trigger. He gets tall right before he swings. He is a line drive type hitter reaching a top exit velocity of 75 mph. He ran a 4.51 down to first.

Brian Corbett, 1B/3B, Miamisburg, 2016

Big 6-foot-2, 220-pound athletic body framed corner infielder. Moves well around the bag at first-base. He reached a top velocity of 72 mph from the position. Right-handed hitter starts with a balanced set up, uses a hands back trigger, simple step and swing type mechanics. Reached a top exit velocity of 83 mph. Ran a 4.45 down to first base.

Brian Schutter, SS/OF, Centerville, 2016

6-foot, 160-pound average body frame. Infielder shows good footwork and actions to work with. Showed quick release with clean, short arm action with descent arm strength reaching a top velocity of 80 mph. From the outfield he showed a good clean arm action with descent arm strength at 81 mph. Took descent routes to the ball, would like to see improvement with a crow hop. Right-handed hitter begins with a balanced set up, uses a good weight shift with lower half to back leg, using an upward bat path. Showed ability to use both sides of the field with doubles type power and reached a top exit velocity of 78 mph. Ran a 4.63 to first.

Camden Clark, SS/RHP, Bath, 2016

Thinner, athletic 6-foot, 170-pound frame. As an infielder I would like to see him be more aggressive playing through the baseball, throws with a clean arm action and reached a top velocity of 78 mph. Offensively, He starts from a balanced set up, uses an inward turn with his front foot, gets good extension after contact and showed descent pull type pop with 84 mph exit velocity. Ran a 4.76 down to first base. From the mound he used a shorter arm action, with average arm speed coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball was 73-75 mph. Curveball was slower with slurvy type action at 55-58 mph, changeup at 62 mph, and knuckle ball at 52 mph. Needs to throw his off speed pitches with more arm speed.

Cameron Deemer, 2B/RHP, Wadsworth, 2016

5-foot-7, 165-pound thin frame with room for added strength. Infielder has tendency to let ball creep in on him a little too much, would like to see him field the ball out front more, plays through the baseball for the most part using short choppy steps. Has quicker arm speed reaching a top velocity of 83 mph on his throws. Offensively, he starts in a balanced set up, using a leg kick for power, no trigger with his hands.  Line drive type production with a top exit velo of 74 mph. Showed opposite field type tendencies during game play but squaring the ball up three times to the right side of the field. Ran a 4.43 down the line. From the mound he uses a short arm action with quick armspeed coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball was 81-83 mph. His curveball showed gradual break on 11/5 plane at 68-70 mph. He also flashed a straight changeup using fastball armspeed at 72 mph.

Chandler Cannon, MIF/RHP, Oregon Clay, 2016

5-foot-11, 148-pound thin body frame with lots of room to fill. Infielder shows some softness to hands, fields ball bringing it up to stomach with a tendency to let the ball creep in on him just a little bit too much. Uses a clean ¾ arm slot, would like to see him quicken his throws to first base, shows some descent arm strength with top velocity of 79 mph. Left-handed hitter starts with a wider, balanced set up, uses an inward turn with front foot, good, short hands back trigger. Has an upward bat path to the ball showing doubles type power, squaring up a double to right-center field during a game at bat. He reached a top exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 4.77 down to first base.

Chris Dombroski, 3B/OF, Loveland, 2016

6-foot, 185-pound average body frame. Third-baseman needs to consistently play through the baseball, everything works better when there is a ball that is hit that he needs to move for. Shows some athleticism as third baseman, uses a short clean arm action coming from ¾ slot at 79 mph. Right-handed hitter begins with a balanced set up, no hands trigger. Very simple and short swing uses both fields well reaching a top exit velocity of 83 mph. Would like to see just a little more lower ½ incorporated into swing. He ran a 4.77 down to first base. During his game at bats he showed doubles power to both sides of the field, squaring up a double to right center field, and then left center field.

Christian Kroger, C/3B, Bishop Watterson, 2016

5-foot-11, 165-pound thin, athletic body frame with room to fill. From the catcher’s position he showed pop times between 2.25-2.40 that can improve with quickening his footwork and transfer on throws to second base. His top velocity from the crouch was at 71 mph. From the infield his footwork would benefit from playing through the baseball. Fielded the ball using just his glove, could improve his release time by keeping opposite hand near his glove as he fields. Threw from clean ¾ slot using quick arm speed to produce a top velocity of 73 mph. Right-handed hitter starts from a balanced set up, with good hands back to shoulder trigger, showed doubles type power generating at top exit velocity of 79 mph. Ran a 4.46 to first base.

Clark Mayberry, C/OF, Bowling Green, 2016

6-foot-2, 175-pound good athletic frame, with still some room to add for strength. From the catcher’s position he showed some arm strength using a short quick arm to generate a top velocity of 74 mph from the crouch. Footwork could use a little cleaning up, and he could get his front shoulder turned closed more to help improve his pop times of 2.00-2.09. From the outfield he shows descent footwork, but could improve by creating more of a crow hop before he throws. He throws from a ¾ slot showing some arm strength, reaching a top velocity of 82 mph. Right-handed hitter starts with weight slightly more on back leg, uses a slight weight transfer with lower half to produce power along with a leg kick. He uses his lower half well, but stride does tend to get long at times. Hands back trigger gets to arm bar most of the time. Reached a top exit velocity of 76 mph. He ran a 4.68 to first base. Shows power, during two game at bats he squared up a double hitting the left field wall, and then squared up a triple to right-center field.

Cody Clark, C, Bellbrook, 2016

6-foot, 200-pound right-handed hitting catcher. From the crouch he produced pop times between 2.22-2.34. Uses a short arm action with high ¾ slot to produce a top velocity of 65 mph. Offensively, he starts with an open stance getting his foot down early and on time back to being square. Used an inward turn with front foot, line drive type hitter, consistently squared up the ball during his BP rounds. He produced at top exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 4.83 to first base.

Cody Dennis, SS, Licking Valley, 2016

Has a skinny 5-foot-11, 145-pound frame with lots of room to fill out. Infielder shows good fluid actions with athletic footwork and softer hands. Has a good quick release and descent arm strength for his size at 78 mph. Right-handed hitter begins with a balanced set up, good hands back to shoulder trigger, uses both parts of the field well, has good smoother swing contact type hitter right now at this point with 72 mph exit velocity. Ran a 4.88 to first base. Everything will continue to improve as he continues to get stronger physically.

Collin Marks C/MIF, Walsh Jesuit, 2016

5-foot-9, 160-pound thin, athletic body frame with room to fill. Catcher, shows good footwork with good quick transfer to release, and reached a top velocity of 71 mph on his throws to second. His pop times were between a 2.10-2.13. Offensively, he starts with a slightly open stance getting back to even. Has good fluid hands back trigger. Needs more lower half incorporated into his swing reaching a top velocity of 82 mph. Ran a 4.95 to first base.

Connor Richardson, SS/C, Reynoldsburg, 2016

6-foot-2, 186-pound body frame. Infielder does a pretty good job of playing through the baseball demonstrating ok footwork to work with, showed ability to throw from different angles with a quick release. Reached a top velocity from the infield of 74 mph. From the catchers position he needs to improve footwork, he started with an open stance on his throws to second and showed a pop time of 2.12 and velocity of 73 mph from the position. Offensively, he starts with a balanced, tall position. Has an upward bat path to the ball, bat tends to wrap during his trigger creating some drag to his swing, showing doubles type power with a 78 mph exit velocity. Ran a 4.65 to first base.

Connor Wheeldon, C/RHP, Anderson, 2016

6-foot-1, 165-pound thin, athletic frame with room to fill. Catcher used a good short arm action with quick armspeed coming from a high ¾ slot while showing some arm strength producing a top velocity of 75 mph. Could improve pop times by getting more linear with footwork more towards second base as he has a tendency to fall off towards third base on throws. Pop times were between 2.03-2.09. Right-handed hitter starts with an open stance getting back to even, uses a longer hands back trigger getting to an arm bar. Uses both parts of the field well. At times he is late getting front foot down. Shows quickness to his hands reaching a top exit velocity of 87 mph. He ran a 4.72 to first base.

Corbin Paxton, 1B/OF, Sylvania Northview, 2016

5-foot-10, 158-pound frame. First-baseman shows pretty good footwork around the bag, and moves well at the position throwing with 71 mph velocity. Left-handed hitter starts with a balanced set up, has a hands back trigger that tends to get long to arm bar. He uses a big leg kick to create power, could still use lower half more consistently, has pull tendencies. He reached a top exit velocity of 77 mph. He ran a 5.20 down to first base.

Dane Galloway, RHP, Francis Howell, 2016

6-foot-4, 190-pound good projectable body frame. Right-handed pitcher uses a slow paced windup with average arm speed coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball was between 76-80 mph, curveball showed slurvy type action at 65-67 mph. Also flashed a straight changeup using fastball armspeed at 70 mph.

Derek Carr, LHP/OF, Licking Valley, 2016

6-foot, 170-pound two-way prospect with athletic, projectable frame. From the outfield, he shows pretty good footwork throwing from a high ¾ slot showing some arm strength with carry on throws reaching a top velocity of 84 mph. Left-handed hitter starts with weight slightly more towards his back leg. Uses a hands back to shoulder trigger, simple step and swing mechanics, showed some pop in his bat while reaching a top exit velocity of 83 mph. Ran a 4.81 from home to first. On the mound he has a good clean arm action using quicker arm speed through an upper ¾ slot. His fastball was 81-82 mph, threw a 12/6 curveball at 72-73 mph that showed good depth and sharpness. Changeup was between 73-75 mph with some tailing movement to it. Services will probably be needed more as a pitcher at the next level.

Dustin Lewis, 2B/SS, Vandalia Butler, 2016

5-foot-10, 165-pound average frame with room to add strength. Uses a short clean arm action with average release time throwing with 74 mph velocity. Showed ok footwork but needs to continue to work on taking better angles to the baseball. Offensively, from the left side he starts with a balanced set up, uses a hands back to shoulder trigger, he is short to the ball, contact type hitter, added strength to frame should help with increase power. Reached a top exit velocity of 79 mph. He ran a 4.40 to first base.

Dustin Salyers, C, Beavercreek, 2016

5-foot-7, 165-pound catcher. Throws with short arm action from high ¾ slot that produces pop times between, 2.15-2.25. Threw with a top velocity of 67 mph, could improve arm strength by closing up shoulder more before he throws to second, while staying more compact through his throws to second. Right-handed hitter starts from a balanced athletic position, uses a good hands back to shoulder trigger and an inward turn with his front foot. , showed ability to use both parts of the field reaching a top exit velocity of 75 mph. Ran a 4.89 to first base.

Hayden Bianchini, 1B/RHP, Moeller, 2016

Big, thick 6-foot-3, 220-pound body frame. First-baseman moves well around the base for his size, throws from a side arm angle reaching a top velocity of 73 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter starts with an open stance toe-tapping his way back into square then strides, doesn’t use much of a hand trigger, has an upward bat path to the ball with high follow through. Displayed some descent bat speed and power during his game at bats. He reached a top exit velocity of 88 mph. He ran a 5.39 to first base. From the mound, he uses a short arm action with average arm speed coming from a ¾ slot. Lands more closed and tends to close himself off. Fastball was 79-80 mph, curveball showed some downward movement at 67 mph.

Jack Schaller, 3B/INF/RHP, Bowling Green, 2016

6-foot-3, 165-pound thin, athletic body frame with room to fill. Athletic third baseman fields the ball out front with good footwork and throws to first base. Shows good quick release, coming from clean ¾ slot with top velocity of 79 mph. Right-handed hitter starts with a tall open set up, getting back to even, uses a long stride with weight tending to leak toward front foot, uses a hands back to shoulder trigger. Shows pull tendencies reaching a top exit velocity of 90 mph. Ran a 4.25 to first base. From the windup he uses a straight up and down leg kick, landing more closed throwing across his body. Comes from a ¾ arm slot, fastball doesn’t require much effort at 80-83 mph. Needs to throw curveball with fastball armspeed at 58-60 mph showing loopy downward action.

Jackson Back, LHP/OF, Beavercreek, 2016

6-foot, 155-pound thinner athletic frame with room to fill. From the outfield he shows fluid footwork, and demonstrates a good crow hop. He uses a clean arm action coming from a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 77 mph on his throws. Left-handed hitter begins in a balanced set up, uses a fluid hands back to shoulder trigger, uses an inward turn with his front foot followed by a short stride. Showed the ability to stay inside the ball nicely during a game at bat he lined out to left-field.  He reached a top exit velocity of 74 mph. Ran a 4.50 to first base. On the mound the lefty uses a full windup. Has a clean arm action with quick armspeed coming from a ¾ slot. Delivery requires some effort with his fastball at 76-80 mph. His curveball has signs of being sharp when he throws it with more velocity with 1/7 plane at 65-69 mph. He also flashed a straight changeup using fastball armspeed at 73 mph.

Jacob Dennis, LHP, Licking Valley, 2016

6-foot, 175-pound medium, athletic framed pitcher. Uses a shorter arm action coming from a higher ¾ slot with average arm speed. Tilts his shoulders for leverage on pitches, delivery requires some effort. His fastball was at 79-81 mph showing some tail movement. Curveball shows descent depth and has some sharpness to it closer to a 12/6 plane at 68-71 mph. Threw a 71 -73 mph changeup with some tailing movement similar to his fastball at the same armspeed.

Jacob Kahle, LHP/OF, Ayersville, 2016

6-foot, 173-pound average body frame. From the outfield he needs to improve on his crow hop mechanics to aid in carry on his throws. He uses a clean arm action from a ¾ slot to produce a top velocity of 77 mph. Left-handed hitter starts from a balanced set up with a hands back to shoulder trigger. Needs to incorporate more lower half into his swing as he is mostly an upper body hitter right now. Showed the ability to stay inside the baseball squaring up a triple to left-center field during a game at bat. Takes a level bat path through the zone reaching a top exit velocity of 76 mph. He ran a 4.47 from home to first base. From the mound he brings his left arm behind his back creating a wrist wrap, throws using average armspeed from an upper ¾ slot. His fastball was at 75-76 mph. Curveball showed depth and sharpness when he threw it with more velocity between 63-66 mph.

Jake Pallotta, SS/RHP, Massillon Jackson, 2016

6-foot-1, 190-pound athletic body frame. Infielder can improve footwork by playing through the baseball, has tendency to stop his feet as the ball gets to him. Shows shorter arm action with quick release and reached a top velocity of 73 mph. Offensively, he begins with a slightly open stance getting himself squared back to even, with good hands back to shoulder trigger. Uses a good short swing that shows bat speed, and produces pull power. Had a top exit velocity 86 mph. Ran a 4.62 to first base. Right-handed pitcher uses a straight up and down leg kick, would like to see him create more torque with bottom half, throws from an upper ¾ slot with average armspeed. His fastball was 79-80 mph, curveball showed gradual break with 11/5 tilt at 64-67 mph. His slider showed downward movement at 68 mph, and flashed a straight changeup at 65 mph.

Jared Breeze, RHP/1B, Turpin, 2016

6-foot-1, 185-pound thinner, athletic frame. Showed a solid glove and athletic footwork around the bag at first-base. He threw with a top velocity of 75 mph. Right-handed hitter starts with a wide, balanced set up, uses a hands back to shoulder trigger. Sits before he swings. Reached a top exit velocity of 83 mph. Ran a 4.78 to first base. From the mound he has a hook in the back of his arm circle, uses average armspeed coming from an upper ¾ slot. Fastball was between 74-78 mph, Curveball was at 53 mph with 12/6 tilt. Threw a slider at 62-64 mph with some downward movement. Needs to throw all his off speed pitches with fastball armspeed.

Jeff Laraway, SS/OF, Avon, 2016

6-foot-3, 185-pound frame. Infielder, can improve footwork by playing through the baseball. He uses a clean ¾ slot with a top velocity of 75 mph. From the outfield he also needs to improve footwork by creating a crow hop for himself to gain more carry on his throws. He used a ¾ arm slot reaching a top velocity from the outfield of 76 mph. Offensively, he starts with a balanced set up, uses a hands back to shoulder trigger. Has a tendency to chop down, would like to see him level out swing, and use more lower ½. He reached a top exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 4.41 to first base.

Joe Weisenseel, SS/2B, St. Edward, 2016

5-foot-8, 155-pound frame. Fields ball well with hands out front, displayed good quick footwork with descent arm strength at 79 mph and showed ability to throw from different angles. Probably better suited as a second baseman. Right-handed hitter begins from a balanced set up, doesn’t use a hands trigger, gets foot down early and on time, showed quickness to his hands with 83 mph exit velocity and descent line drive doubles type power for his frame. He ran a 4.32 to first base.

John Moore III, LHP/OF, Hamilton Township, 2016

6-foot, 165-pound thin, athletic frame with room to fill. Lefty uses a clean arm action with average arm speed coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball was 76-80 mph with tailing movement. His curveball showed gradual break at 1/7 plane throwing it with 70-72 mph velocity. His slider showed pretty good action with tight break at 75-77 mph. Had problems locating pitches on this occasion, as he tended to be up in the zone.

Jordan Wharton, SS, Copley, 2016

6-foot-1, 170-pound thinner, athletic body with room left to add strength. Shortstop, showed well in showcase portion, using good footwork with good short arm action coming from ¾ slot. Has quick release, and some arm strength at 80 mph. From the right side he starts with a slightly open set up getting back to even, showed good smooth hands back trigger load to shoulder, line drive type level swing hitter, had 80 mph exit velocity. He ran a 4.51 to first base on his BP swing. 

Josh Nixon, SS/C, Minster, 2016

5-foot-11, 175-pound frame. Infielder, plays through the ball nicely, showed average actions and footwork to work with at short stop, maybe better suited as third-baseman if he wants to stay in the infield. Used clean arm action from ¾ slot with descent arm strength at 81 mph. Showed well as a catcher, used solid footwork with some arm strength, and good release with a pop time of 2.03. Switch hitter, from the right side he begins in balanced set up, good hands back to shoulder trigger, gets foot down early and on time, with 75 mph exit velocity. Similar mechanics from the left side, had 79 mph exit velocity, uses all parts of the field well. Ran a 4.52 to first base on his BP swing. From the mound in his windup he turns back completely around facing the hitter, has a stab in the back of arm circle, uses quicker arm speed from a ¾ slot. His fastball was 79-82 mph. Curveball has slurvy action at 63-66 mph thrown below fastball armspeed.

Joshua Jarvis, LHP/OF, Badin, 2016

5-foot-10, 175-pound medium body frame. Left-hander went only from the stretch, using average arm speed coming from a ¾ slot. He has a straight up and down leg lift. Strike thrower, who filled up the zone. His fastball was at 68-71 mph. He showed a slurvy breaking, slower curveball at 60-62 mph.

Justin Moyer, RHP/SS, Lakota West, 2016

6-foot-2, 175-pound athletic framed two way prospect, still some room for projection. From the infield he fields the ball out front nicely, showed good soft hands and fluid footwork. Throws were a bit off target on this occasion to first base but showed descent arm strength at 77 mph. Right-handed hitter starts with a slightly open stance using a toe tap getting back to being squared up for timing mechanism then takes a short stride to the pitcher. Uses a hands back trigger getting to an arm bar. He is short and quick to the ball reaching a top exit velocity of 80 mph. He ran a 4.45 to first. From the mound the righty Uses a clean arm action with average armspeed coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball was between 79-82 mph. Curveball showed gradual 11/5 break with depth at 71-72 mph. Flashed a change in warm-ups at 69 mph.

Kyle McKibben, RHP/2B, Coldwater, 2016

6-foot-1, 160-pound skinny frame with lots of room to fill out. Can improve footwork by being more aggressive playing through the baseball more consistently. Throws using a short arm action coming from a clean ¾ slot, reaching a top velocity of 75 mph. Right-handed hitter starts with a wider, balanced set up simple step and swing type mechanics, needs to improve on using more lower half consistently, uses a small leg kick for added power, reaching a top exit velocity of 80 mph. He ran a 4.90 down the line. From the mound he uses a long clean arm action coming from a ¾ slot, using quicker arm speed. Fastball ranged from 76-79 mph, curveball showed some sharpness and depth to it at 11/5 plane at 66-68 mph, flashes a changeup at 69-70 mph coming from a shorter arm action than his fastball, needs to throw the pitch.

Mac Shinaberry, C/1B, Walsh Jesuit, 2016

6-foot-1, 205-pound physical body frame. Catcher shows the right footwork but needs to continue to work on overall quickness with feet and transfer to throw. Uses a short arm action that produced a top velocity of 73 mph. His pop times were between a 2.26-2.32. Right-handed hitter starts with a balanced set up using a good fluid hands back to shoulder trigger. Shows the ability to use both parts of the field well. Reached a top exit velocity of 81 mph that produces doubles type power. Showed good balance and ability to hit a curveball squaring up a double during a game at bat. He ran a 4.78 down the line.

Malave Bettinger, 1B/RHP, Coldwater, 2016

6-foot-2, 230-pound with thicker stronger frame. First-baseman, moves okay around the bag at first with descent footwork. Right-handed hitter starts with a closed set up and stays pretty closed with stride cutting himself off. Left-handed hitter uses a hands back trigger would like to see him get more square and directional towards the pitcher. Uses a shorter leg kick. Shows pull power with an exceptional 91 mph exit velocity. He ran a 4.70 down the first base line. From the mound he uses a shorter, whippy arm action and quicker arm speed coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball was 77-80 mph. His curveball showed downward average break at 67-69 mph.

Mason Sherrill, OF/LHP, Bellbrook, 2016

5-foot-9, 140-pound body frame. From the outfield shows good footwork and actions coming from a higher ¾ arm slot that produced a top velocity of 79 mph. At the plate the left handed hitter begins from an open stance getting back to even, uses a slight hands back trigger, shows ability to use both parts of the field. Could benefit from added strength to his frame. He had a top exit velocity 76 mph, and ran a 4.63 to first base. On the mound the lefty uses a shorter arm action with average armspeed coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball was 73-76 mph. Curveball showed downward gradual average break at 65-67 mph.

Matt Eiswerth, 3B/RHP, Mentor, 2016

6-foot, 195-pound thicker frame. At third-base he shows good lateral movement, fields the ball out front bringing it in to his stomach. Uses an average time exchange, coming from a clean ¾ slot showing some arm strength reaching a top velocity of 83 mph on his throws. Offensively, he starts with a balanced set up with feet spread a little wider apart, no hands trigger, doesn’t use much of a stride. Shows descent power reaching a top exit velocity of 89 mph. He ran a 4.44 to first base. On the mound he comes from a ¾ slot using average arm speed. His fastball was 81-82 mph, curveball showed downward movement at 70-71 mph, and threw a straight changeup with fastball armspeed at 73 mph.

Nathan Wilker, SS/RHP, St. Marys Memorial, 2016

6-foot-1, 170-pound athletic body frame. Infielder uses good short arm action with quicker release reaching a top velocity of 84 mph. Fields the ball out front nicely, with good athletic footwork for the most part, a little cleaning up to do transitioning to throw but an easy fix. Left-handed hitter starts slightly open squaring himself back to even, uses a small leg kick for power, hands back to shoulder trigger. Line drive type approach using both sides of the field very well reaching a top exit velocity of 83 mph. He ran a 4.26 to first base. He showed some opposite field power squaring up a triple to left-field. From the mound, He uses a short arm action coming from the ear, with quick arm speed. Delivery requires some effort, His fastball was between 80-84 mph. His curveball showed downward gradual movement with average depth at 66-68 mph, and threw a straight changeup with fastball armspeed at 71 mph.

Nick Harker, 1B/RHP, CHCA, 2016

Good tall 6-foot-4, 190-pound frame. Shows good athletic footwork around the bag, with good arm strength good enough to play the position, he reached a top velocity of 77 mph. Right-handed hitter starts with an open set up getting back to even, leg kicks his front leg to his back leg for power. Hands back trigger tends to get close to arm bar. Line drive type production hitter, reaching a top exit velocity of 86 mph. He also ran a 4.4 to first base.

Peyton Ley, 3B/OF, Granville, 2016

6-foot-2, 175-pound athletic body frame. From third-base he fields the ball out front nicely, showing some softness to his hands, shows good footwork and the ability to be athletic at third base with good lateral movement. Uses a short arm action coming from a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 74 mph. Offensively, he starts with a wider, balanced set up, uses a short stride with a slight hands back trigger, produces at top exit velocity of 84 mph. Showed ability to use opposite field hitting two singles to right-field during his game at bats. Very simple swing mechanics. He ran a 4.77 to first base.

Riley Lake, RHP/2B, Tri-Valley, 2016

Thin 6-foot, 165-pound frame with room to fill. Infielder, plays from his heels as ground ball approaches him, needs to be more aggressive and play through the baseball. Throws from a quick short arm action coming from a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 78 mph. Left-handed hitter begins with a tall, slightly open set up in which he gets back to even. Uses a hands back to shoulder trigger, showed the ability to use both sides of the field reaching a top exit velocity of 76 mph. He ran a 4.58 to first base. From the mound, he brings his leg back to gain momentum in his delivery, he uses average arm speed coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball was between 78-80 mph. Curveball showed slurvy gradual break at 67-70 mph. Also flashed a straight changeup using fastball armspeed at 74 mph.

Ryan McLelland, OF/LHP, Anderson, 2016

6-foot-1, 170-pound thinner, athletic frame. Outfielder throws from a ¾ arm slot producing a top velocity of 79 mph. Shows good comfortable footwork from his position, could improve a little on crow a hop but not too bad. Left-handed hitter starts with a balanced set up, using a hands back to shoulder trigger, shows ability to use both sides of the field, a contact type hitter. Power should improve as he adds more strength to his frame. Reached a top exit velocity of 79 mph. Ran a 4.58 out of the box. From the mound the lefty uses average arm speed coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball was 75-77 mph. Curveball showed downward movement at 64-67 mph. Changeup showed good tailing action at 67-70 mph.

Ryan Middendorf, SS/RHP, Lakota East, 2016

6-foot-4, 170-pound long, lanky projectable frame. Shortstop shows descent footwork to work with, better when he is more aggressive to the ball, throws with a clean ¾ arm action at 74 mph from the infield. Left-handed hitter begins with a slightly open stance using a toe tap back to square and then using a short stride. Shows some signs of pull power which should increase with more strength to frame. Reached a top exit velocity of 73 mph. Ran a 4.58 to first base. From the mound he uses a clean long arm action with average arm speed coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball was 78-80 mph, needed to stay on top of downward breaking curveball at 63-64 mph, and threw a straight change with fastball armspeed at 69 mph.

Sam LaFontaine, SS, Western Reserve, 2016

5-foot-10, 160-pound thin, athletic frame with room to fill. Shortstop showed good footwork and actions to work with, he has a good short arm action at ¾ slot and quicker release. Showed some arm strength with one of the top velocities at his position at 81 mph. Left handed hitter starts in a balanced set up, gets foot down early and on time, no hand trigger, showed ability to stay inside the baseball well and use both fields, showed a smooth swing from left side. All parts of his game will only improve as he continues to mature and get stronger, had 81 mph exit velocity. Will need to improve running speed, ran a 4.68 to first base during BP.

Sam Stewart, 3B/SS, Granville, 2016

6-foot, 170 pound average body frame. Infielder, shows good athletic actions and footwork, certainly an athletic third-baseman, but can also play second base as well. Fielded the ball out front nicely, showing some softness in his hands. Uses a clean short arm action coming from upper ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 82 mph. Offensively, he starts from an open set up with weight slightly more towards his back leg, he gets back to even. Showed some descent power to his swing while reaching a top exit velocity of 86 mph. He ran a 4.32 to first base.

Samuel Niswonger, C/OF, Sidney, 2016

5-foot-9, 170-pound body frame. Catcher can benefit from improved foot speed, and quicken hands transfer to throw. Threw from a good short arm action from upper ¾ slot and produced pop times between 2.39-2.56, reaching a top velocity of 68 mph. Offensively, he starts with a balanced set up, hands start high then drop down getting to an arm bar, uses a leg kick to add power to his swing. Showed some quickness in his hands reaching a top exit velocity of 87 mph. He ran a 4.52 to first base.

Seth Gray, SS/RHP, Springfield Shawnee, 2016

6-foot-3, 192-pound athletic frame with still some projection left. Infielder shows average actions that can improve his footwork transitioning from catch to throw as he has small crow hop. Uses a clean short arm action coming from ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 78 mph on his throws. Left-handed hitter starts from a balanced set up, uses a big leg kick for added power, hands back to shoulder trigger, shows pull power, and showed the ability to go opposite field with some pop during two game at bats. Top exit velocity of 78 mph. Ran a 4.53 down the line. On the mound he starts from the stretch, using average armspeed coming from an over the top arm angle. Did a good job of locating his fastball using both sides of the plate at 79-82 mph, his curveball broke at a 12/6 plane with good depth to it at 67-68 mph.

Seth Paszke, OF/C, Bloom Carroll, 2016

5-foot-11, 210-pound thick, stronger frame. From the outfield he uses a short arm action coming from a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 80 mph. Needs to improve footwork and develop a crow hop to improve carry on his throws. From the crouch he uses a short arm action coming from a high ¾ slot producing a top velocity of 71 mph. Quickening his feet would help improve pop times that were creeping around a 2.34. From the left side he starts with a balanced set up, using a slight hands back trigger, also using an inward turn with his front foot. Line drive type hitter that reached a top exit velocity of 85 mph. Showed pull power in his swing by hitting a triple to right center field during a game at bat. Ran a 4.50 to first base. 

Tristin Faunce, RHP, Toledo Central Catholic, 2016

Young 5-foot-11, 150-pound thin frame with room to fill. Struck out four hitters he faced in game performance. He uses a long clean arm action with average arm speed coming from ¾ slot. His fastball ranged from 79-82 mph with tail and some sinking movement. His curveball was 68-70 mph at an 11/5 plane showing sharpness to it at times. His changeup was straight and thrown at fastball armspeed 72 mph. Needs to be more consistent with release point as he tended to be up with his fastball on this occasion.

Tyler McGee, SS/2B, Tri-Valley, 2016

5-foot-10, 170-pound frame. Infielder can improve footwork by being more aggressive playing through the ball. He uses a short slinging arm action with 67 mph arm strength. Maybe better suited at the second base position at this point. Offensively, he starts with a balanced set up, swing is simple and to the ball, I would like to see him incorporate more lower half to improve increased power production, bat speed is at 79 mph. He ran a 4.76 to first base.

Tyler Wilson, OF/1B, West Carrollton, 2016

6-foot, 195-pound stronger, athletic build. From the outfield he throws with a slight stab in the back of his arm action coming from a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 76 mph. Needs some work on developing a crow hop to improve carry on his throws. Right-handed hitter starts from a balanced set up, hands start high and drop down getting to an arm bar back, would like to see him improve on consistently using more lower half. Reached a top exit velocity of 86 mph. Ran a 5.20 down to first base during BP but ran a 4.66 down to first during a game at bat.

Zach Kahn, 2B/OF, Strongsville, 2016

5-foot-10, 165-pound body frame. Second baseman does nice job fielding the ball with hands out front, needs to improve footwork transition into throws, uses a good short arm action with descent arm strength at 80 mph on his throws. From the outfield he has good footwork approaching the ball but needs to work on crow hop. Comes from a ¾ slot and reached a top velocity of 80 mph from the position. Right-handed hitter starts with balanced set up, with slight hands back trigger, using a short swing hands right to the ball, shows ability to use both fields with doubles type power, line drive type approach with 80 mph exit velocity. Ran a 4.41 to first on his BP swing, and ran a 7.09 60 yard dash at a past PBR event.  

Zack Ward, C/OF, Williamsburg, 2016

6-foot, 162-pound body frame. Catcher shows descent hand transfer to throw speed, but needs to clean up overall footwork, has a tendency to stand too tall before he throws to second needs to stay more compact. He threw pop times between 2.10-2.19, could benefit from added strength to his frame. His top velocity from the crouch reached 73 mph. Right-handed hitter starts with a very open stance, gets foot down on time and back to being square, uses a good hands back to shoulder trigger. Showed ability to use both parts of the field reaching a top exit velocity of 75 mph. He ran a 4.71 to first base.

Zane Harris, 1B/3B, Madison Comprehensive, 2016

Big 6-foot-5, 240-pound strong bodied first-baseman prospect. Committed to Wright State very shortly after the Prep Baseball Report Ohio ‘16/’17 games. Moves around well for his size around the bag, but needs to continue to improve quickness in his feet. Threw at a top velocity of 73 mph. Big lefty bat starts from a balanced athletic position, uses a good smooth hands back trigger. Showed ability to use both sides of the field and hit with good pull power, shows quickness in his hands while reaching a top exit velocity of 84 mph. Ran a 4.78 down the line.
