Scouting Report
6/6/17
A 2018 right-handed pitching prospect. Works through a near over the top slot to a delivery that requires regular effort. Arm action is clean with above average arm speed. Ball comes out of his pretty well with his fastball sitting 83-85 mph. The pitch has occasional run and sink to it. Offers to secondary pitches. Does a nice job of maintaining fastball arm speed on his 76-78 mph changeup that has some fade to it. Spins a 12/6 breaking ball with depth. The pitch is sharp and has good spin to it at 74-77 mph.
2/19/17
An arm to follow in the 2018 class. An above average athlete on the mound that is mechanically efficient. Works through a near over the top slot with well above average arm speed. Fastball works downhill with run at times at 83-86 mph. Showed the ability to work both sides of the plate with the pitch. Both secondary offerings are impressive. Spins a 12/6 power curveball with sharpness and depth at 73-74 mph. Changeup might have been the best we saw all day, showing substantial run and sink with depth at 74-75 mph.
