RECENT SHOWCASE HISTORY:
Last Chance Preview (November 18, 2017) Palmieri is a 5-foot-10 150 pound SS/OF. He ran a 7.21 60. Offensively - Right handed hitter with an exit velo of 68 MPH. Utilizes an open stance with a high leg kick, struggled making consistent contact but tools are there. Flyball results with lift in swing; aggressive upper body swings. Defensively - Good footwork, with hands working toward the ball. Infield velo was 71 MPH. Showed good lateral range and the ability to make throws at a variety of angles. May project better at 2B over the long term but as he matures his arm strength could improve and keep him on both side of the bag.
WHAT TO EXPECT
"In his PBR-NY debut Palmieri flashed some skills that with time will fit his game. Looking for some more freedom and separation in his swing to free up his bat speed and get on plane with the ball earlier. Good bounce in his step up the middle; sees the ball all the way in, low slot release. Excited to see him come out on Feb. 11th with having the past showcase under his belt and show us his true colors. "
