As we are nearing the end Preseason All-State tour, we highlight some returning players that we are excited to see the results from an off season of training.

2020 Preseason All-State - Tri-State Open

Joseph Gleason RHP / 3B / Pine Bush, NY / 2022

Gleason had an impressive outing at the 2019 Fall Top Prospect Games. The 6-foot-2 right handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery. Gleason pitches from a mid 3/4 arm slot and natural whip. FB peaked at 78 MPH and showed feel for a CH down in the zone. The 2022 graduate has upside and is a must follow.

Michael O'Shaughnessy 3B / 1B / CBA - Albany, NY / 2022

Offensively - Stands open, has a huge leg kick and hunches over the ball as the ball approaches. Drops hands. Barrel dips through the zone, lifts up on swing. Finishes swing with one hand. Exit velo- 91 MPH. Defensively- has a strong athletic approach to the ball, fields the ball out front. Footwork is fluent. Hands are smooth, with an average transfer. Throws from a ¾ arm slot. Infield velo- 80 MPH.

Alejandro Samayoa 3B / C / John Jay Cross River, NY / 2021

Offensively- stands in the box in a tall stance and slight bend in the knees. Uses a short load before attacking the baseball. Direct bat path to the ball. Good use of the lower half. Balanced swing, has a two hand finish. Exit velocity was 81 MPH. Defensively- as an Inf, sits back when fielding the baseball. Displayed athletic movements, soft hands, and effortless arm action on throws across the infield. Top throwing velocity was 75 MPH. As a C, sits in a low wide stance with a big target. Smooth exchange, and above average footwork on throws to 2B. The top throwing velocity on throws to 2B was 75MPH. The range of the pop time was 1.97-2.08.
