Rogers Centre - Futures Navy struck first in this one. They took advantage of some early control problems from Prairies pitcher Zack Demchenko, who walked the two, three and four hitters in the first and seven total in his three innings of work. Five hole hitter Jameson Hart made those walks hurt with a two RBI single to give the Futures an early lead that they wouldn’t relinquish. Navy was able to add to that lead in the second when Michael Strovman walked with the bases loaded in the second.

Starting second basemen Noah Naylor was as patient as they come in this game, walking in each of his first three at bats and tripling in his last at bat after finally getting a pitch to hit. That triple led to another RBI for Strovman, as he drove in Naylor with a single in the very next at bat. Between the two of them, they reached base a total of seven times in eight plate appearances. Naylor added two runs scored and a stolen base

Starting pitcher Conor Angel looked good for the Futures, throwing four solid innings of one hit ball. He did however battle some control issues that he was fortunately able to work out of. Relief pitcher Jake English shut the Prairies down in his two innings of work, striking out 3. While Hart showed he can do more than just drive in runs, he shut the door in the seventh striking out two.
