Our scouts are stationed at both fields during the course of the tournament. Following is a look at scouting notes, video, and more from tournament action at Iron Horse Sports in Windber, PA ...
DAY ONE (FRIDAY, August 14TH):
In the first battle of D1 commits, ‘21 Colton Book (Manheim Central / Stony Brook) strikes out ‘21 SS Spencer Butz (York Suburban / Pitt) on a nasty 74 mph CH with natural cut. Feel for 3️⃣ advanced pitches in any count T85 in his first inning of work. @KSBombers #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/WMDOyWABHc

Easy velo from @SHGriffBaseball commit ‘21 RHP Ian Korn (York Suburban). T89 in the first out of a power H 3/4 arm slot mixing a wipeout 70 mph knuckle curve showing 12/6 shape w/ late depth. Frontline arm potential in the PSAC. #FallKickoff @kbc16u pic.twitter.com/1Fjs0lyYwD

Book up to 89 mph in the 2️⃣nd ? Just picked off his only baserunner allowed as well. #FallKickoff @KSBombers @meat23 https://t.co/6fU5DJtXWg
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Korn’s line through 3️⃣ innings: 0 H, 5 K, 1 BB. Dominant & still holding 85-87 mph with slight downhill at the knees. Heavy in the zone, missing barrels. #FallKickoff https://t.co/vMQXh67UAj
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Impressed w/ the approach from ‘21 1B Tyler Dunn (Cumberland Valley / @kbc16u). Short barrel path, athletic in the box, hits the ball where it’s pitched. Stays on a FB to LCF for a sharply hit single here. @Bucknell_BB commit; #FallKickoff. pic.twitter.com/GKb9jG5oie

‘23 LHP Jared Murray (Manheim Central) is extremely intriguing on the bump. Tasked w/ entering the game to get @KSBombers out of a jam in the 6th. Command has been an issue so far, but working T82 mph on a downhill FB mixing a 68 mph slurve w/ bite across the zone. #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/ClaUKc5a8x
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Fresh off of a dominant #NEFutureGames performance, ‘22 LHP Dylan Brown (North Penn / @buckscobaseball) holding 83-84 mph w/ deception & crossfire in the delivery. Fluid H 3/4 arm stroke & dropped in a 68 mph CB showing swing & miss ability. Command has been better; #FallKickoff. pic.twitter.com/YjHk1nvw5m
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
A guy to keep an eye on ➡️ ‘21 RHP Ryan Latourelle (Wyomissing / @KSBombers) popped a couple 81’s w/ life & late arm-side run. Sitting on the outside corner mixing a 69 mph CB displaying 12/6 tilt on occasion. 4.45 GPA / 6’5, 185 lbs .. a lot to work with; #FallKickoff. pic.twitter.com/OxvKpkigdL
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
‘21 LHP Danny Eden (Twin Valley / @KSBombers) doing what he does best; filling up the zone & getting plenty of groundballs at 80-82 mph on the FB. Countered w/ an above average 69 mph CB showing 1/7 shape. Tunnels well, competes on the bump. #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/bU0WmhCkKQ
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Command is back! After a rocky 1️⃣st, Brown coasted thru the last 3 innings of work / started living off the outside corner, tunneling back knee breaker to RHH for s&m.. Final line: 4 inn, 1 hit, 1 ER, 6 K’s. https://t.co/hmiwOA15AX pic.twitter.com/ebQDqAnQqy
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Very quality summer all around for ‘21 SS Brady Bedway (Blue Mountain). More than a few solid AB’s today & all over one for a lineout to the left side here. athletic & stays in the legs at the plate, #FallKickoff @KSBombers. pic.twitter.com/9HEAKuC7IB
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
I’ve been a huge fan of ‘21 SS Gage Miller (Palmyra Area) since we saw him at @KSBombers scout day in March. Legitimate tools (91 bat exit & 89 mph arm strength) and showcases natural SS qualities in the middle. Hard RBI single to RF here; kid can really play #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/bYHQIyWbIG
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Playing the game the right way ➡️ ‘21 MIF Drew Sassaman (Manheim Township) was flying around the field all day making plays. Isn’t scared to lead the infield and communicate defensively & found a couple quality AB’s along the way. 6.90 60-yard #FallKickoff @KSBombers pic.twitter.com/ApGI2q9sQE
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Hello ‘21 RHP Tommy Molsky (Northern / @kbc16u). @LaSalleBase commit w/ 2️⃣ plus pitches at the moment & quality CH. Extremely tough AB while T91 on FB w/ real hand speed coming through a H 3/4 slot. Sharp 78 SL showing deception & hard bite for s&m. 6-foot / 156 lbs, #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/aG58R8C0Iw
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
One of the toughest LHP I’ve seen ‘21 LHP Anthony Solometo (Bishop Eustace, NJ) @Zoom_Baseball sitting 90-92 in the 1️⃣st T93 multiple times. AA works, long in back and long in front with hip coil creating powerful whip from 3/4 slot. 83 SL in zone as well, #FallKickoff #MLBDraft pic.twitter.com/koasbBzkOG
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Loved this swing from ‘21 3B Logan Brewer (Biglerville / @kbc16u). Large frame 6’2, 205 lbs & gets after it. Down to 2 strikes here, finds a way to get the barrel on 82 mph SL for an RBI single thru the right side. ? exit at #PAStateGames, @LVCBaseball commit. #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/5eiQkisYtc
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Solometo popped a 94 in his 2nd inning of work. Legitimate funk in the delivery with life at the plate. Good luck to LHH in the box ? #MLBDraft. #FallKickoff https://t.co/mUuTe9VRyq

— Dan Cevette (@DanCevette) August 14, 2020
‘21 RHP Joe Rauscher (Plymouth Whitemarsh) stands in at 6-1, 165 lbs & really knows how to pitch. Feel for 3️⃣ from a 3/4 slot displaying an advanced 70-72 SL & 74 CH w/ depth at the plate. Holding 82-83 mph into 2nd inning of work; hides the ball extremely well. #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/8Blr00PGuj
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Following a 2-out double, ‘21 OF Sam Kulp (Carlisle / @kbc16u) gets a belt high CH & drives it into the LCF gap w/ authority for an RBI single. Short, aggressive stroke showing the ability to use all fields throughout the day. #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/jcfSyc7xuc
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Plenty of quality AB’s all day for ‘21 CF Ryan Albin (Archbishop Wood / @Zoom_Baseball). LHH hits any pitch hard and finds a two strike elevated BB to go backside for a sac fly to tie it here. Feel for the hands & present athleticism in all phases of the game. #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/BnfSxl3ceI
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
One of the best hitters in the state at the moment, ‘21 SS Joe Jaconski (Plymouth Whitemarsh / @Zoom_Baseball) takes one for a ride to deep RF caught at the base of the fence. Legitimate juice & understanding of approach, @DiamondHeels commit. #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/vDOnvdzsib
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
‘21 SS Spencer Butz (York Suburban / @kbc16u) continues to show why high level speed is important.. Scored from 2nd base on a wild pitch earlier, steals second easily here (3.30 sec from leadoff to 2B). @Pitt_BASE commit continues to develop tools as he matures. #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/3dMkJWr02a
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
The deception is obvious in ‘21 RHP Tyler Griswold (Bishop Eustace / @Zoom_Baseball). 6-0, 175 lb frame w/ a compact H 3/4 delivery. Sat 82-83 mph & commanded a swing & miss 75-76 CH w/ late arm-side fade and advanced sell. Throws everything with high intent, #FallKickoff. pic.twitter.com/gcbjfR1gNg
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
The twitch stands out in ‘21 3B Alex Roessner (Collegiate HS @PBRNewYork). @NUCatsBaseball commit stays back on an offspeed pitch ripping a single to LCF for an RBI. Premium athlete at the hot corner that gets off high intent swings consistently. #FallKickoff @Zoom_Baseball pic.twitter.com/CW7nbKePBU
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Impressed with the way ‘22 SS Tyler McCord (Holy Ghost Prep / @buckscobaseball) has played all day. Quick feet, attacks the ball both on offense & defense, confident demeanor throughout the game. Tripled to LF to lead things off, a player to continue following. #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/rbKwFbtqaR
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
‘22 1B Shane Anhalt (Council Rock North / @buckscobaseball) just left the yard for a 2️⃣-run short to LF... Ball got out in a hurry. Physical lower half & when the RHH makes contact at the front of the plate, the juice is evident. #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/n6Zs9mc3CN
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
‘21 LHP Ryan Albin (Archbishop Wood / @Zoom_Baseball) now on the bump T85 (& keeps climbing) w/ high spin above the belt. Mixed a two-plane 70 mph BB w/ 1-7 shape which portrays as an out pitch moving forward. Liked him all day; #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/xE1jfvgbhq
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Into the 2nd inning of the 4th game of Day 1 & pitching has been the talk of the day. All 13 arms to take the mound have topped in the low 80s or better. 4 have topped at 89 or better with a 94 mph reading leading the way.

Oh my.. ‘21 Adam Gates (Gloucester Catholic, NJ / @Zoom_Baseball) just hit a bomb foul off the Merry Go Round in LF ⬇️. All over every pitch so far this at bat. Has taken violent swings all day but hasn’t had much to show for it. ⬆️ level physicality. #FallKickoff @PBRNewJersey pic.twitter.com/rCPSuNLH82
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
No need to do too much at the plate with two strikes ??♂️ ‘22 OF Jalen Soberal (Bensalem / @buckscobaseball) using the hands nicely for an RBI poke to RF. Continues adding on to an already impressive day at the plate. #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/JJKHhtc92E
— Ted Williams (@T_Wills1) August 14, 2020
Talk about high level bat to ball skills ➡️ ‘21 SS Nick Nush (Bensalem / @buckscobaseball) gets into one here burning the LF for a standup 2B. Can burn around the bases; stole third on the second pitch of the next at bat & scored on a 1B. Run producer, #FallKickoff pic.twitter.com/5hMJTVFcjA
