Statistics
PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?
BEUTER: I chose Kirkwood because it felt like home. Coach Rima was great with me and told me he could get me to the places I wanted to be. I felt comfortable with their process and program.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
BEUTER: I was considering a couple other JUCOs including Iowa Central, and Southeastern CC. Upper Iowa was also on my list of schools that I was thinking of going to.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?
BEUTER: The first time I saw Kirkwood come and watch me was the second round of districts. Along with the coaching staff seeing my number on twitter after the PBR IA Top Prospect Games. Coach Caenepeel then texted me a couple days later and the contact started.
PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
BEUTER: Yes, very much so, I feel relieved that I don't have to go out on the field and do something special to catch a coaches eye. I still wanna go out on the field and compete each and every time and give it my all but there is not that pressure on my shoulders anymore which is nice.
PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
BEUTER: I wouldn't say there was one specific thing that put me over the top. I think it was everything put together that sold me on my choice to continue me career at Kirkwood. The facilities, coaching staff, location, and culture of the program was amazing.
PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
BEUTER: I think who has helped me the most would be my parents. Driving me to where I need to be, paying for the events i go to, to gain exposure, and just helping me make the right decisions that are best for me.
PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
BEUTER: I didn't really have a whole lot of expectations. I had heard from other people that have gone through it say that it was stressful, which it was. I didn't really know what it would truly look like going into it though.
PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
BEUTER: I think their plans for me are to get me to where I want to be. All of them were very confident in their process and very confident in me and my ability to get me to the next level fast with their guidance. I am very excited.
PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
BEUTER: My most memorable baseball experience would probably hitting 90 mph on the mound for the first time. I told my dad during the Winter of 2018 that I was going to through 90 by the end of the season 2019. I worked my butt off throughout the entire of season in the weight room and arm care. When I hit 91 mph at the Top Prospect Games it was very rewarding.
PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
BEUTER: The best baseball player I have ever competed against would have to be Calvin Harris. He truly is one of the top players in the nation for his abilities. To go along with that he is an outstanding guy off the field as well.
