3 1 Central Arizona 14-2 Taking charge out West, looking strong in all aspects of the game.
6 2 NorthWest Florida 12-4 Talented and playing very well with strong pitching despite tough schedule. Quality wins.
9 3 Walters St. (TN)  13-1 Strong in all aspects of their game. Have beaten top teams. Rotation has been arguably most dominant the country so far.
8 4 Chipola (FL) 11-5-1 Handled tough schedule with quality wins. Can pitch and hit.
5 5 Crowder (MO) 5-2 Just getting started. Talent is there.
1 6 San Jacinto-North (TX) 10-6 Starting to get healthy and rolling. Five straight wins after injury-plagued start.
11 7 Wasbash Valley (IL) 8-2 Strong out of the gate. Deep and talented offense and staff.
18 8 Weatherford (TX) 12-0 Undefeated and taking care of business. Very strong going into Region 5 competition.
2 9 McLennan (TX) 7-5-1 Tough early schedule, but talent is there. Not running on all cylinders yet but will be where they should be at the end.
12 10 Iowa Western 1-1 Just getting going. Talent and depth will be a factor nationally once they get some games played. Pitching staff could be special.
4 11 Florida Southwestern 10-8 Looked like a contender for No. 1 early before really struggling with a bad week. Talent is there to win Florida; but competition will be stiff.
7 12 Flo-Dar Tech (SC) 7-6 Need more consistency to be the NJCAA WS team they were during breakout '21 season.
10 13 Miami Dade (FL) 13-6 Young but talented. Need signature wins to build that confidence.
20 14 Dyersburg St. (TN) 9-3 Winners of nine straight, including a big W over Wabash, after 0-3 start.
14 15 Southern Nevada 8-4 Playing well early on ran into Central Arizona and tough teams out west.
21 16 Midland (TX) 8-3 Strong start for a team that has the talent. Couldn't meet early challenge against McLennan.
NR 17 Wallace St. (AL) 8-2 Preseason sleeper showing very well. Early favorite in Alabama that can compete with top teams nationally.
17 18 Cowley (KS) 4-2 Talented team that needs to play to see what they have.
NR 19 Arizona Western 11-3 Strong start. Playing well - split with Central AZ and lost two to CSN.
NR 20 New Mexico 13-4 Good start for a talented team. Two losses to Central AZ.
16 21 Grayson (TX) 6-4 Opened with two losses vs. San Jac. Talented lineup and pitching. Starting to get going.
22 22 John A. Logan (IL) 5-3 Solid play so far down south. Trying to get their stride.
23 23 Indian Hills (IA) N/A Just getting started.
NR 24 Columbia St. (TN) 7-3 Strong team. Won seven in a row including win over Chipola ... then dropped three straight to them.
13 25 Yavapai (AZ) 7-6-1 Finding it tough sledding early out West vs good teams. Good wins and tough losses. Stumbled this weekend.
