It came down to a winner-take-all regional final in Collinsville with Shawnee and Collinsville trading blows throughout the game. Shawnee took a 6-5 lead heading into the bottom of the 7th when John Masingale started it off with a lead-off double. Kaden Rush followed the double with a single that would tie the game up at 6 with nobody out. Another single would put the winning run on base for 9-hole Cyrus Kornegay who parked one off the scoreboard for a three-run homer and a walk off finish to send Collinsville to the 5A State Tournament.
