Brett Harrison
Nevada Scouting Director

The 2023 High School season is quickly approaching and as usual, our staff is excited for the upcoming Spring season.  Players and coaches have been working all fall and through December, in preparation for the upcoming season and as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams throughout Nevada.

Programs across the state have goals and aspirations to finish the year lifting then State Champion trophy, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes a reality.  We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams and players across the state, as we preview many of the great programs from Nevada.  We will take you right up to the first pitch of this season with these team previews and we'll continue providing coverage throughout the Spring.

Continue to check back throughout the season and stay tuned into our social media channels, as we strive to be your one-stop shop for everything related to high school baseball in Nevada.  Each week we will release the PBR Nevada Top 10 Team Rankings with the initial rankings set to drop in February!

Director Notes
PBR Nevada Director, Brett Harrison

The program Coach Cerrone has built during his tenure at Centennial has proven to be one that forces teams to expect a battle down to the last pitch every time they step on the field with the Bulldogs. Regularly pushing out college prospects every year with developed talent, they are set to do the same this year with a group that will depend on their talented senior class for leadership but, they will need their Underclass group, which has shaped up to be one of the best incoming classes in the state, to step up and take on key roles early. The senior class will be lead by CSN Commit, Logan Smith, who earned his stripes this past season after being stacked up against the best teams the state has to offer, going 4 and 1 against them with a 3.05 ERA. Centerfielder and one of the top Uncommitted players in the state, Alex Rhynes, will be the catalyst at the top of the Bulldogs batting order after his breakout year this past Spring where he batted .379 with a .500 OBP. Brother of UNLV standout, Austin Krzyszczuk, Justin also had his breakout year during his Junior campaign this past year with his mature approach at the place that lead him to a .365 batting average and is expected to improve on that this Spring. The Underclassmen will make the difference this Spring for Centennial and this freshman and sophomore class puts the Bulldogs in a great spot for years to come. Sophomore infielder/catcher, Noa Oyadomari, was called upon as a freshman in a Upperclass dominated lineup to be there scrappy, do it all type players and he did just that with the expectation to improve on that the Spring after a year at the varsity level under his belt. Sophomore southpaw, Riley Cornman, has seen his game trend over the past year and is expected to a be a quality addition to the rotation that could give teams fits with his projectable three pitch mix. Physical sophomore, Tyler Jackson, has the frame and size that immediately catches you attention, standing at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds with room to continue filling out and is a candidate to fill arguable the biggest void left by last year's senior class, the catcher position. The freshman class will be one to keep an eye on as a pair of Junior Future Games standouts, Gio Telfer and Kane Barber, could be in the mix for roles at the varsity level, each with confident two-way capabilities, both from the left side with effective stuff on the mound as well as advanced actions both in the field and at the plate. This Centennial group is expected to be in the mix as one of the top teams our state has to offer as we continue to close in on the State, Regional and National High School Team Rankings.
