3n2 Sticks National 17U

Drake Varnado, SS/RHP, IMG Academy (FL), 2021
Arkansas Commit. The 6-foot-2, 175-pounds Varnado had a huge impact in probably the most impactful matchup of the entire playoff round against TE Black and their loaded D1 lineup as he entered the game in relief and closed out the last two-innings for Sticks to propel them to the win. Varnado sat 87-88 on the fastball, touched 89, flashed a 73-74 breaker and an 82 change on the day. He was relentless attacking the TE lineup and commanded the fastball enough to secure it for Sticks, his frame still has a ton of room to grow out and he flashed a loose, loose arm with tremendous arm speed.

Trip Walls, RHP, IMG Academy (FL), 2022
Uncommitted. Walls 6-foot-3, 185-pounds, came in relief for Sticks over the weekend against TE Black and was another power arm for Sticks that you can absolutely see based off arm speed and his frame that he one day could be well into the 90’s on a regular basis. He sat 87-88 from his normal slot and dropped to a lower slot to run and sink the fastball on Team Elite right handed hitters. He was predominantly fastball in his outing but did flash offspeed stuff during warmups.

Ty Gordon, 1B, Nashville HS (AR), 2021
Arkansas State Commit. Gordon 6-foot, 205-pounds may have been the most important offensive player in the Sticks lineup against TE Black in the first round. The LHH laced a double down the left field line in his first at bat off the bench to help get Sticks on the board initially and then in the 7th inning drew a huge RBI bases loaded walk that was the dagger for TE in the game. Gordon only had two at bats in the game but they were very big ones. He had tremendous strike zone awareness and didn’t chase a single pitch on the day.

Austin Ledbetter, RHP/3B, Bryant (AL), 2021
Arkansas commit. 6-foot-1, 195-pound right-handed pitcher and third baseman, strong, sturdy frame, advanced strength in his lower half. Easy, effortless delivery, slings it from a low ¾ slot, keeps all of his momentum working on-line towards home, finishes with a soft landing, square to home. Fastball sat 88-90 in a one inning stint, running action, good feel for, kept off the center of the plate. Slider, 74, downer action, late bite, tunnels well with his fastball.

Max Soliz Jr., C, Bob Jones (AL), 2021

Arkansas commit. 6-foot-5, 220-pound right-handed hitting catcher, physically stands out on any field with a massive frame that is filled out with a considerable amount of strength. Offensively, has a more narrow setup with his upper half bent at the waist over the plate. Strength plays throughout his game as he looks to do damage with each and every swing, when he does connect the ball comes off the bat hot, registering a 104 mph exit velocity on a line drive into right field. Despite his large frame, Soliz is a flexible defender and provides a large target for his pitching staff to throw, soft hands and an understanding of how to frame pitches, willing to give his body up to keep balls in front.
Rian Cellers, OF, Texas (TX), 2021

Texas Tech commit. 6-foot-1, 160-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, an elite athlete, lean, wiry build, game changing speed on the bases and in the outfield. At the plate, balanced setup, leg kick timing trigger, hands load back, balanced at foot strike. Takes a line drive approach at the plate with a mostly level barrel path. Also a standout QB on the gridiron for Texas High.
Ethan Voss, RHP, Burnsville (MN), 2021

Uncommitted. Long, lanky 6-foot-4, 190-pound right-handed pitcher, lean build, highly athletic on the mound. A member of Team Minn/Iowa at the 2019 PBR Future Games. Arm worked long and loose with advanced arm speed to a ¾ slot, front-side leaked out. Relied mainly on his fastball in a relief appearance on Sunday during bracket play, sat 86-90.
3n2 Sticks American 17U

Kobe Gates, RHP, Kennett (MO), 2021
Uncommitted. The big body righty started for Stick American in pool play, came out sitting 85 with some effort and settled in at 82-85 on the day with the fastball, with a lot of 84’s. The effort was there his entire outing but he competed well and flashed a low 70’s breaking ball.

Aiden Adams, LHP, Bryant (AR), 2021
Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 175-pound, left-handed pitcher, strong lower half, feel for three pitches. Arm works short and clean on the back-side, hides the ball very well on the back-side, batter does not see it until it is coming out of release from a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 81-85, pitched to both sides of the plate. Curveball, 70-72, slurve-like. Changeup, 77, sinking action.
Tristan Hawkins, RHP, Benton (AR), 2021

Uncommitted. 6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed pitcher, athletically built. Long arm acton, showing high and wide on the back-side, slot varied between high ¾ and over-the-top. Pounded the zone with his fastball, inducing swing and miss and weak contact with. Fastball sat 85-88, touched 89. Curveball, 12/6 shape, 76-79, aggressive with, some sharpness.

5 Star Midsouth-Cohick

James McCracken, LHP/OF, Middle TN Christian, 2021
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Vol commit was just downright filthy in his pool play spot start.  Tall, lean frame w/ mega projection.  Took command of the game and dominated from start to finish.  FB worked 90-92 early, settling 87-91 w/ ASR from low 3/4 slot.  Utilized three-pitch mix with 2/8 action SL at 73-76 w/ good bite and fading CH at 80-82.  Great tempo and aggressiveness to attack hitters while managing the lineup.  Even mixed deliveries to disrupt hitters timing (double leg pump, long hold, etc.)

Caleb Guisewite, RHP, White House Heritage, 2021
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Belmont commit followed McCracken’s stellar performance with one of his own, working deep into the game while punching out 13.  Medium, average build w/ clean, loose arm from over the top.  Maintained velocity throughout outing, consistently in the mid to upper 80s all night.  Sharp CB in the 70s with good bite and chase offering.

Jameson Nephew, RHP, Siegel, 2021
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound uncommitted right hander has slowly climbed the ranks as the velo continues to make strides.  Strong, medium frame w/ good projection.  FB was nearly unhittable at 87-91 w/ natural late cut.  Commands it well to outer third of the plate, allowing cut action to carry it just off the plate for S/M.  High 3/4 slot would creep up a bit for occasional sink.  Showed very little of the off-speed arsenal, leaning on the FB to go the distance.

Beast Mode Prime 17U

Joshua Baez, OF/RHP, Dexter (MA), 2021
Vanderbilt commit. Toolsy 6-foot-3, 205-pound right-handed hitting primary outfielder, also hopped on the mound for an inning and showcased electric stuff. On the mound, arm works clean and loose to an over-the-top slot, high end arm speed, repeats well. The raw arm speed and power he possesses is some of the best in the 2021 class. Fastball sat 93-97, blew it by hitters and broke some lumber along the way, late life in the zone, running and sinking. Slider, 80-82, tunnelled well with fastball, deceptive as he maintained arm speed and slot, overall swin and miss pitch.

Anthony Bonacci, RHP, Norcross HS (GA), 2021

Uncommitted. Bonacci, 6-foot, 188-pounds, was a relief arm over the tournament for Beast Mode and primarily was a two pitch guy in the appearance. He sat 83-87 and paired the fastball with a 70-72 slider and was able to command both pitches enough and be competitive for Beast Mode. He is physical and does have some effort in the delivery but is a solid arm for Beast Mode, especially if he is to continue out of the pen.

Miles Jackson, C, Riverwood (GA), 2021
Uncommitted. Jackson, 5-foot-8, 190-pounds, though small in terms of height, he is physical and built with a mature frame. He had himself a weekend having a 1.000 OBP while being watched by the PBR staff for a couple games; he turned out great at bat after great at bat for Beast Mode and helped their offense churn out of the leadoff spot. He is athletic and ran super well on the weekend; Jackson has the makings of an above average offensive catcher if he sticks to the position in the future but regardless of his position Jackson has offensive upside.

Matthew Johnson, SS/RHP, Jefferson (FL), 2021
Uncommitted. Johnson, 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, had the biggest impact for Beast Mode on the weekend on the bump for them starting a game in pool play. The right hander has a max effort delivery from a ¾ slot and came out pumping 89-91 before settling in at 86-90 for the outing to go along with his full repertoire, changeup 80-81and slider 74-76. Even though there is a ton of effort, Johnson has whip and arm speed and still does have the ability to add mass to his frame. It would not be shocking to see Johnson add more velocity still but what could be the biggest room for improvement is gaining better command of his arsenal. If Johnson can make this happen, it will be a very, very good arm down the road.

Aidan Stewart, INF, Next Level Academy (AL), 2021
Missouri commit. 6-foot-5, 200 pounds. Switch-hitting infielder that played the weekend at third base, but has played plenty of SS in the past. Swing from the left side continues to look more fluid and aggressive every time we see Stewart. Bat whips level through the zone. Contact is consistently hard and loud to both gaps; creates backspin with ease. In the field, arm strength has always been present. Hands and feet work swift and smooth. One to watch for the ‘21 MLB Draft.
Complete Game 17U

Brayden Collett, SS/RHP, Greenbrier (GA), 2021
Georgia Southern commit. Collet, 5-foot-11, 185-pounds, is uber athletic, made multiple appearances in the PBR Showdown and showed a plus fastball both times sitting low 90’s in both outings. He has a premium arm, the arm speed is real and the fastball has absurd metrics routinely running 2500-2600 rpms in his outings this weekend. While command is behind stuff presently, it’s hard not to imagine Collett figuring it out with how athletic he is and how well he moves his body. The one thing for sure this is a premium arm who could be getting paid soon to throw the baseball for a living. Bryce Dees, LHP, Harlem (GA), 2021
Uncommitted. Long, lanky build at 6-foot-4, 170 pounds. Loose arm throughout pitch. Fastball showed true run at 81-84. Changeup had fade at 77 and used a sweeping CB at 68-69 mph. All three pitches come from same release.
David Bell, C/RHP, Greenbrier (GA), 2022

Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 193-pound right-handed hitting two-way prospect, strong, athletic build. At the plate, has a calm, cool demeanor, balanced setup, keeps it simple with a short stride and load, good balance through contact. Quick barrel that is short to the zone, takes a line drive approach using the middle of the field. Defensively, has advanced tools, big arm, accurate on throws. On the mound, Bell makes every at-bat uncomfortable for the hitter with an ultra quick pace, gives the hitter zero time to settle into the box. Arm works clean and quick to a ¾ slot with whippy hand speed. Dominated in his start, commanding a fastball/curveball combo, inducing swing and misses with both pitches. Fastball sat 85-87 with armside run. Curveball, 11/5 shape, late bite, 72-74.

Brett Zerbel, LHP, Augusta Christian (GA), 2021
Georgia Southern commit. 6-foot, 185-pound left-handed pitcher, strong lower half. Went right after hitters, attacking the strike zone with a heavy dose of fastballs. Arm works short out to a low ¾ slot, efficiently repeats delivery. Fastball sat 82-85, worked to all areas of the zone effectively, not afraid to get on the hands of hitters.

Diamond Baseball 17U

Trey Willis, LHP, Loudon (TN), 2021
The 6-foot-4, 170-pound uncommitted lefty Future Gamer picked up right where he left off.  Tall, slim frame w/ great projection and room to fill out.  Utilized heavy dose of S/M fastballs at 81-85, T86, giving the opposition fits all night.  Didn’t show much of the 12/6 CB we’ve seen in the past, but flashed new cutter/slider at 79-81.  Still developing offering, but potential to be a nice addition to the repertoire.  The strikeout master opened the game w/ 10 punchouts.

Nic Smith, LHP/OF, York Institute (TN), 2022
The 6-foot-3, 175-pound uncommitted left hander posted a strong start to open the summer.  Lean, lanky frame w/ high waist and good projection.  Loose arm working to 3/4 slot.  FB worked 79-83 all night, but played up a tick in perceived velocity due to a 6 ft, 9 in. extension metric courtesy of Trackman (MLB Avg: 6 ft, 5 in.).  Limited use of CB, but mixed changeup at 75-76 w/ good arm speed and some sink away from righties.

Easley Baseball Club Goforth 17U

Tripp Hardin, 3B/RHP, Tupelo HS (MS), 2021
Uncommitted. Hardin, 6-foot-3, 190-pounds, came in relief for Easley during the Showdown and came out guns blazing throwing pellets in relief. He sat 88 in the first inning of relief with a lot of effort to get Easley out of the jam they were presently in and eventually settled in at 86-88 for the remainder of his outing. He was primarily fastball and commanded it enough for Easley, he flashed a mid 70’s breaking ball in warm-ups. The body is good and he has room to mature.

Elite Squad Gulf South 17U

Collin Husser, Ponchatula HS (LA), 2021
Southern Miss Commit. Husser, 6-foot-5, 190-pounds, came in relief for Elite Squad and was throwing petrol out the gate sitting 89 and cruising to the tune of 87-89 in his outing. He flashed two breaking balls both a curve (68-71) and slider (70-74) in the outing but mainly stuck with his fastball. The arm on Husser gives you a lot to be excited about, he is athletic and has arm speed and will continue to fill out his frame. Being a consistent 90+ arm should be in the near future for Husser.

Alex Roux, Archbishop Hannah HS (LA), 2021
Uncommitted. Roux, 5-foot-8, 150-pounds, came in relief for Elite Squad and sat 84-85 in his relief outing. While undersized by scouting terms, Roux has athleticism, his arm worked, and he repeated his mechanics well. He worked primarily fastball in the outing and worked to command both halves of the plate during the outing.

Kenya Huggins, RHP, St. Augustine (LA), 2021
Uncommitted. Large, imposing build at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds. Deliberate, controlled delivery. Uses legs to work downhill. Fastball jumped out of the hand at 89-92; worked armside. Sliders garnered swing and miss, especially when buried, ahead in the count; 82-85 mph. SL had sharp, late bite and looked like FB out of the hand. Also showed a more traditional curveball at 76-78; threw for strikes, frequently, while SL was the put-out pitch. Impressive uncommitted arm that shows the physical tools. 24th ranked 2021 in Louisiana.

Kyle Walker, SS, Archbishop Rummel (LA), 2021

Uncommitted. 5-foot-9, 185 pounds; strong, stocky build. Walker was arguably the most impressive defensive shortstop on the week. Has very advanced actions and baseball IQ, in the field. Sure-handed, picks hops out. Offensively, has a line drive approach. Hands work freely, barrel is heavy through the zone. Plays with energy and will surely be one to follow.
Hunter Ponson, RHP, Parkview Baptist (LA), 2021

Uncommitted. 6-foot-3, 185 pounds; prototypical frame and has room for added size. Athletic on the bump with a quick arm; low front-side. Works from a high ¾ slot. Fastball lives 84-87, touching 88 in his first couple of innings of work. Breaking ball had 11/5 shape at 72-74. Competitive in the zone. 36th ranked player in the Louisiana 2021 class.
Game On Stealth 17U

Randan Rigdon, RHP, Metter (GA), 2021
Uncommitted. Rigdon, 6-foot-4, 170-pounds, showed some inconsistent command and struggled to sink his mechanics up in this particular arm but there are definitely some things brewing for Rigdon. He sat 83-85 and showed a 71-72 breaker to go along with it. Rigdon has a ton of projection physically and the future could hold a big jump in terms of pure stuff, if he can refine his mechanics and repeat there is present arm talent that will produce outs at the next level.
Tyler Franks, LHP/1B, West Laurens (GA), 2021
Kennesaw State commit. Franks, 6-foot-4, 180-pounds, was another PBR staff favorite on the weekend. He has a legit chance to two-way at the next level depending on where he goes. Offensively he found a ton of barrels on the weekend and hit balls hard and helped churn the Stealth lineup hitting in the 5-6 hole most of the weekend. He played a sound 1B not committing a single error on the weekend in any game we watched. On the mound, is probably where Franks has the most projection however; he is wiry, has long levers, and the arm is loose. The velo is easy and got up on hitters sitting 86-89 with a ton of explosiveness and angle and flashed a 73-74 mph breaking ball that was for real. He threw one lone inning and punched out all 3 outs recorded with 2 coming on back breaking back door breaking balls.

Hudson Mimbs, RHP/SS, First Presbyterian Day (GA), 2021
Uncommitted. Mimbs, 5-foot-11, 165-pounds, was a stalwart in the middle of Game On lineup all weekend and just hit hard baseballs all weekend and made every play there was to make defensively at short. Mimbs has been up to 89 on the bump in past PBR events, is athletic and has a ton of room to mature. Mimbs could potentially two-way at the next level depending on where he lands in his commitment.

Conner O’Neal, C, Northside (GA), 2021
Georgia State Commit. O’Neal did more than just look the part this weekend when he stepped in the box against opposing arms; all weekend the left-handed hitting catcher terrorized opposing teams with base hits and situational hitting that drove in RBI’s and constantly impacted the offensive side of the baseball. Every time we have seen O’Neal recently he has just hit and been a big offensive threat; this is a very quality pickup for Georgia State.

Matthew Mebane, 3B, Hilton Head Island (SC), 2021
Uncommitted. Mebane, 6-foot-3, 215-pounds, was another offensive favorite of PBR on the weekend and was a huge offensive contributor for Game On all weekend. He is imposing physical figure and he showed off not only his pop in the bat (multiple EV’s over 90 on the weekend) but his athleticism legging out a triple to left center gap and clocking in at 12.7 from home to third. There was a lot to like about the right-handed hitter on the weekend and he has all the makings of a true middle of the order bat through college.

Clifford Pless, OF, Veterans HS (GA), 2021
Uncommitted. Pless, 5-foot-11, 150-pounds, could be a legitimate track star with his plus plus speed and he may claim the title as fastest man in the state of Georgia in a foot race. The switch-hitter did not swing the bat much this weekend, instead relying on his bunt game and challenging opposing teams to make a play. He was clocked on multiple watches running down the line at 3.7 from the left handed box and 3.1-3.2 on steal attempts. The man can absolutely fly and if Pless can figure out how to become a true offensive threat swinging the bat, the impact potential for Pless is through the roof.

Jackson Hilton, LHP, St. Anne Pacelli, 2022
Uncommitted. 6-foot-4, 200-pound left-handed pitcher, big, strong frame, projectable build. Arm works clean on the back-side showing low on the draw, comes through release with quick arm and hand speed, ¾ slot. Gets into his strong lower half with a drop and drive delivery, works on-line. Fastball sat 84-86, armside run, worked both sides of the plate, was not afraid to go inside and created a tough angle when doing so, jamming the ball into the hands of hitters. Curveball, 72-73, slurve-like shape, big breaker, knew how to use effectively, pitching to both sides and burying it when he needed to.

Coleman Willis, RHP, Houston County (GA), 2021
Georgia commit. Long, lanky 6-foot-6, 190-pound right-handed pitcher, lean frame has room for additional physicality, projects to stay in his current shape as he progresses to the next level. Arm works with some length on the back-side, explodes through to a ¾ slot. Tall and fall delivery, works on-line, keeps momentum working towards home, finishes upright. Fastball sat 87-89, works downhill with, attacks hitters, some armside run, mostly straight, plays up in the zone. Curveball, 74, 11/5 shape, swing and miss type pitch, buckled knees when he went inside with.
Bradley Wilson, C/RHP, West Laurens (GA), 2021

Mississippi State commit. 6-foot-1, 200-pound right-handed hitting two-way prospect, physical frame, an imposing figure in the box. Slightly open setup, hands drop and load back smoothly, strides out to a balanced position. Strong hands/wrists, quick barrel speed, stays back on the ball, takes a pull-side approach. When squared up the ball comes off the bat hot, a true power threat at the plate.
Eric Snow, SS, Mary Persons (GA), 2022

Uncommitted. 5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder, athletic frame, strong lower half, one of two ‘22s playing up on the Game On Stealth 17U team, started at shortstop throughout the entire weekend. Open setup, high hands load back to a near armbar, short stride, good balance through contact. Takes a line drive approach at the plate, quick bat speed, peppered the outfield with hits all weekend long. A gamer whose size and ability play up on the ball field.
Game Time 17U

Dawson Hargrove, RHP, Spring Hill (TN), 2021
Uncommitted. Hargrove, 6-foot-3, 160-pounds,  has a wiry frame, long arms, but has some firmness to his frame and has room to grow. He was 83-86 in his outing with some effort and supplemented his fastball with a low 70’s breaking ball on the day. There is upside in Hargrove if he continues to develop and improve his command of his repertoire.

Brantly Whitwell, OF/RHP, Spring Hill, 2021
The 5-foot-10, 154-pound uncommitted outfielder consistently strung together quality at bats all weekend while showing great burst in CF.  Average, build w/ good lower half strength and improving physicality.  Simple, compact swing, getting on plane early leading to consistent barrels and hard contact.  Strong defender in the outfield with great range and tracking instincts.  Legged out an infield single with home to first at 4.18 from right side.  Also, hopped on the bump putting together a strong start by feeding the zone at 81-84 and mixing solid CB.

Jaden Hamm, RHP, Columbia Central, 2020
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound MTSU commit set the tone for the Game Time squad for the weekend.  Strong start, pitching deep into his outing, and keeping them in a tight game.  Quick, whippy arm and good athleticism.  FB was humming at 90-93 early, while settling 89-92 w/ good spin and life. Mixed occasional CB in mid-70s.

NEXTLVL 17U

Hunter Gulledge, RHP, Paulding County (GA), 2021
Uncommitted. 6-foot-2, 185 pounds. Gulledge has been a frequent arm at LakePoint over the past year, and has been as consistent as they come. Taskd against as tough Team Elite Black lineup, Gulledge came out 87-88, touching 90, the highest we have seen him at. Predominantly used the FB, but secondary pitches have been solid in the past. A competitive player who will be a significant contributor at the next level.

Team Elite Black 17U

Brady House, SS, Winder-Barrow (GA), 2021
Tennessee commit. A physical specimen at 6-foot-3, 217-pounds, right-handed hitting shortstop, athletically built with strength throughout and the potential to add even more to his frame. Offensively, House has an impressive combination of quickness and strength in his hands, uses his lower half very well to generate power. Everything that comes off his bat comes off loud. Displayed advanced feel and awareness in each at-bat, hits like a professional. Is able to make adjustments from pitch to pitch, and get something he can handle, even if he does get fooled, which rarely happens, he has enough athleticism and strength in his hands to get the barrel on the ball and create hard contact. More times than not, goes after the first pitch he likes early in the count, does not mess around.
Grey Thomas, RHP, Heritage Hall (OK), 2021

TCU commit. Extra large 6-foot-4, 205-pound right-handed pitcher, powerful frame with strength in his upper and lower halves. Came out on Friday night and put on a dominant performance, pitched with a fiery business like approach. Arm works with advanced speed out of a sidearm slot, ball comes out of the hand hot as he slings it. Really gets into his lower half, as he whips his back leg through with a pronounced crossing over. Fastball sat 90-84 with heavy life. Slider, swing and miss pitch, 78-80, dove out of the zone. Changeup, 83, has similar action to his fastball.
Trey Sanders, 3B/RHP, Brookstone (GA), 2021

Uncommitted. Sanders, 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, was another PBR favorite on the weekend. Sanders shutdown an absolutely loaded lineup from Sticks National that was chalk full of SEC and Big12 commit; Sanders had the foot on the gas from pitch one and never let up. He was 84-87 on the day (1800-2050 rpm) and spun both a slider (78-80, 2200 rpm) and curveball (71-72, 2400-2630 rpm) for strikes in any count as well and competed all day long. Sanders worked both sides of the plate and sawed off multiple bats on the day and was just relentless; Sanders has plenty left in the tank and should make another jump. No doubt about it, Sanders will be a huge pickup on the mound for someone.
Kyle Stephenson, LHP, Trinity Christian HS (GA), 2021

Uncommitted. Stephenson, 5-foot-10, 145-pounds, small physically and has effort to his delivery but the left hander was fearless in his relief outing holding Sticks National scoreless in his appearance as well. He was 78-82 but threw a ton of strikes with his 71-72 mph slider that he threw primarily and commanded to both left handed and right handed hitters.

Henry Hunter, C, Grayson HS (GA), 2021
Uncommitted. Hunter, 6-foot-1, 205-pounds, a prospect without a doubt flying under the radar as an uncommitted guy in a loaded TE Black lineup. He has a natural ability to catch but also has the makings of a guy who could be a complete catcher as there is offensive upside with Henry. He caught high velocity arms all weekend and show soft hands and great framing ability; offensively the LHH had great at bats and when balls were put in play they were on the barrel.

David Wiley, OF/3B, North Oconee (GA), 2021
Wofford commit. 5-foot-11, 180-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and outfielder, strong build, athletic frame. Quiet setup in the box, balanced, short leg lift stride, hands load back smoothly. Gap-to-gap type hitter, barrel works level through the zone as he gets his arm extended. Drove a number of balls into the gaps through the weekend.
Team Elite White 17U

Noah Walters, RHP, Crisp County (GA), 2021
Uncommitted. Walters, 6-foot-2, 185-pounds, started for Team Elite White in the playoff round against a solid Complete Game team and came out flashing a 70-72 mph breaking ball to go along with his mid to upper 8’s fastball. While Walters' command was not pinpoint, he competed and battled and gave TE a really solid 4 innings to propel them into the next round on the day. Walters is physical, his arm worked and he will get stronger; if he continues to fill out and mature, he will have no reason he could not be a future 90 arm at some point.

Coby Wilkerson, 3B, Walnut Grove (GA), 2021
Uncommitted. Wilkerson, 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, is big and physical, passes the eye test and 100 percent looks the part. He churned out great at bats all weekend and really only struggled all in a really tough at bat against 90-93 where the pitcher was effectively wild. Wilkerson has a natural knack for hitting and uses an all field approach to pepper balls across the field of play. He currently is a line drive hitter, but as he learns to lift as he matures some of these line drives he peppers will certainly start to leave the ballpark. This is definitely an offensive player to keep an eye on.

Team NB Legends 17U

Nash Bingham, OF/RHP, Christian Heritage (GA), 2021
Uncommitted. Nash, 6-foot-2, 195-pounds, was a fan favorite of the PBR staff on the mound this weekend as the man just flat pitched his tail off throwing multiple pitches for strikes and competing from the first pitch he threw to the last he threw after 5 shutout frames for NB Legends. He started the game at 83-84 before settling in at 80-84 for the outing and flashing an 64-68 mph curveball that he was not afraid to throw in any account or to left-handed hitters as well. Nash also broke out a changeup in the low 70’s. Nash could make a velo jump before you know it, he is athletic, his body has room to grow still; he has moxy on the mound and competes. He could end up being a really good arm for someone down the road.

West Cobb Raptors 17U

Payton Lemons, RHP, Hokes Bluff (AL), 2021
Uncommitted. Lemons, 6-foot-1, 175-pounds, was tasked with the tall order of keeping what basically amounted to an entire lineup of Power 5 commits at bay as he threw against TE Black. Statistically Lemons took the loss on the day but he battled and threw his breaking ball (70-72) as his go to during the outing which he did throw for a consistent strike; he definitely has room to firm up the breaking ball giving it improved chances of becoming a wipeout pitch for him in the future. He sat 84-86 with the fastball and showed enough strength in his arm and body to maintain that velocity for the duration of his outing.
