PBR at The Rock Fall Championships: Uncommitted Upperclass Pitchers

By Diego Solares & Andy Sroka
Illinois & Wisconsin Staff

This past weekend, Sept. 23-26, PBR Wisconsin and PBR Tournaments hosted its final tournament of the calendar year: the PBR at The Rock Fall Championships. Our staff was on-hand to observe some of the top high school-aged prospects (classes 2022-25) in the area, primarily from Illinois and Wisconsin.

As the week rolls on, we’ll start further analyzing what we saw at The Rock this weekend. This piece will analyze some of the top uncommitted upperclassmen pitchers from the event and we’ll do the same thing with the position players later on.

Read below to see which 2022 and 2023 graduates still on the market turned in strong outings on the mound throughout the tournament.

+ As one of the top uncommitted arms in the Midwest, RHP Sean Episcope (Latin School of Chicago, IL) put together the weekend’s most impressive outing – yet another dominant outing of his this fall in front of our staff. The 6-foot, 195-pound Episcope toed the rubber for Elite Baseball Training on Sunday morning, tossing five scoreless innings and striking out 10 on just 72 pitches. He exclusively sat in the high-80s throughout with his fastball, firing multiple 90 mph bullets and reaching a 91 mph high. Episcope’s go-to secondary pitch is a sharp, true 12/6 breaking ball with bite and depth. His ability to spin it for strikes, or beneath the zone, in any count to any hitter is what makes it a true swing-and-miss weapon. He’s on a major upward trajectory thanks to an impressive fall campaign.
