Jonathan Duncan OF / RHP / Blythewood, SC / 2023 5-foot-9, 145-pound lean frame with upside. The right-handed hitters best exit velocity was 79 mph (tee). Starts in an open tall stance with a smooth load, then uses a leg kick timing mechanism. Rotational load turns the shoulder and hips slightly. Shows an uphill swing plane and extension on his one handed finish. From the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 70 mph; has soft hands and athletic footwork. Used a long arm action with a H3Q slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. During the event, he recorded a 60 time of 8.1. On the mound, his fastball was 69-71 mph with a max of 72 mph. Curveball (57-57 mph) worked best when he spotted up low in the zone. When pitched in sequence with fastball, his changeup (61-66 mph) can keep hitters off balance.

 

 

Garrison Fields 2B / C / The Kings, SC / 2023 5-foot-10, 160-pound lean frame. The left-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 75 mph (tee). Began in a wide stance with the back elbow engaged, uses a small hand load, then used a short stride that lands closed slightly to start his swing. Has an uphill swing plane and has high finish. In the infield, showed an ability to throw across the field at 62 mph; had soft hands and transfers at the belt. Had an OTT slot with short arm action. During the event, he recorded a 60time of 8.32.

 

 

Chase Mckelvey SS / RHP / Beaufort , SC / 2023 5-foot-11, 155-pound athletic frame, frame has good length in the levers and will hold additional strength as he matures. The right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 84 mph (tee). Started in an open stance, has a smooth load and used a medium high knee to knee leg kick to start his swing. Has above avg. bat speed and has extension on his one handed finish. Found some barrels through his rounds. Gap to gap approach, works the hands inside the ball consistently. In the infield, recorded position velocities up to 76 mph; had a quick exchange and twitchy hands. In the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 78 mph; has quick footwork and a clean exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag with long arm action and a H3Q slot. He clocked a time of 7.31 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, he showed quick arm speed, had a H3Q angle and a long arm action.  Has an athletic balance point and uphill shoulders with a full stabbing arm action on the back side. Successfully located his changeup (68-69 mph) for a strike. Slider (69-71 mph) had depth when it was located down by the hitter’s knees. His fastball was clocked at 73-76 mph with a max of 77 mph; shows in the zone command and tailing action.

 

 

Brenden Miles SS / C / Dillon Middle, SC / 2024 5-foot-9, 153-pound lean frame with proportional build, room for continued development. The right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 67 mph (tee). Begins in an open wide stance carries the hands above the shoulder with the back elbow engaged, uses a short stride to initiate his swing coils the barrel slightly at the top. Negative attack angle, flat through contact with a level finish. In the infield, made throws across the field up to 68 mph; has soft hands. Used a H3Q slot with short arm action. He recorded a 60 time of 7.87 at the event.

 

 

Alex Myers 2B / SS / Blythewood, SC / 2024 5-foot-7, 131-pound slim,wiry youthful frame. The right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 65 mph (tee). Began in an open tall stance, has a slight wrap in the load and used a medium leg kick to initiate his swing. Exhibits a straight-to-the-ball swing plane and avg. extension on his finish. Up the middle approach. In the infield, showed an ability to throw across the field at 60 mph; had rhythmic footwork and moderately soft hands. Confident with his glove out front. From a H3Q, showed consistent accuracy to the base with quick arm action.He clocked a time of 7.97 in the 60-yard dash.

 

 

Aydin Palmer LHP / OF / South Florence, SC / 2023 6-foot, 155-pound lean frame, projection remaining. The right-handed hitters best exit velocity was 80 mph (tee). Began in a balanced stance with the weight inside the feet, small hand load, launches with the bat in a more horizontal position. Used a short stride to time his swing. Has a level swing plane and level finish. Base hit approach. In the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 73 mph; has sure hands and rhythmic footwork. Using a long arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the base from an OTT slot. He clocked a time of 7.15 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, he used a long arm action with an OTT arm slot. He is a feel type pitcher and uses a fair amount of effort in his delivery. Changeup (65-68 mph) worked best in combination with his fastball, near matching hand speed and some deception present. His fastball was 73-75 mph with a max of 76 mph; had tailing action. Threw a 1/7 curveball (59-60) with solid feel.

 

 

Devin Phillips / Lamar, SC / 2023 Athletic frame, physical advanced. The right handed hitter showed his power with a strong exit velocity of 93 mph (tee). Began in an athletic open stance, had a medium hand load that pushes the hands back and coils the barrel slightly behind the head. Uses a small leg kick that lands softly. Shows an uphill swing plane, explosive bat speed and level finish. Was able to create some loud contact and good feel for the barrel during his BP round. Pull side approach. In the infield, made throws across the field up to 81mph; has a clean exchange, soft hands and athletic footwork. Fields the ball out front while his movements laterally were athletic. Using a long arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the bag from a H3Q slot. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.22. On the mound, showed quick arm speed, had a H3Q slot and a full arm action. He is a feel type pitcher and uses moderate effort. Linear in the delivery with a athletic balance point and slight scap load present. Lands in line with his target with good extension. Threw his fastball 78-79 mph and topped out at 80 mph; showed good life and some movement to the arm side at times. Showed a tight curveball (68-69) and fading action on his changeup (70-71).
