Pensacola Catholic defeats Lincoln 14-3

ImageStarted off my Panhandle trip heading to Tallahassee to see the Pensacola Catholic Crusaders take on the Lincoln Trojans. This matchup saw Jackson Kohr against Clayton Nash. The Crusaders got the bats started early after Chris Rembert was hit by a pitch and Will Barter singled.


Zack DeJesus followed up with a double to give the Crusaders a 2-0 lead in the 1st.


Myles Bailey and Rhett Lynch singled for the Trojans but that was all doing for the Trojans in the 2nd. Pensacola Catholic continued to swing it in the bottom half. Presley Moseley, Michael Smith, and Will Barter all singled.

Then Zack DeJesus doubled for his 2nd time in as many at-bats. 


The onslaught of hits and runs didn’t stop for the Crusaders in the 3rd as they added 6 more runs. Colton Guillot and Will Krehely singled, and Rembert doubled in the inning. 


As well as walks from several players. DeJesus picked up his 5th RBI of the day on a sac-fly. Lincoln got on the board in the 3rd after singles from Garrett Harper and Rhett Lynch followed by a sac-fly from Ryan Stillman to drive in the run.


Will Krehely would pick up his 2nd hit of the day in the 4th on a double but that was all in the 1st quiet inning of the game for the Crusaders. Kohr continued to pitch well, working a quick 4th, getting an inning ending double play to work around the Austen Sarvis single. Myles Bailey doubled and Rhett Lynch picked up his 3rd hit on a homerun in the 5th to avoid the run-rule. Moseley picked up his 2nd hit of the day in the 6th on a single.


Michael Smith would also single in the inning.


As well as DeJesus picking up his 3rd hit and 7th RBI on the day. 


Austen Sarvis would single in the 6th but that was all for Lincoln and the run rule was complete for the Crusaders.
