Power 25 Ranking Update

The 2018 Mississippi high school baseball season is in full swing, as teams around the state transition out of their tournament schedules and start with district play. Remaining in the Number 1 spot in this week's update is Gulfport High School.

On the Rise

+ Gulfport - The Admirals continue to play well as they go 4-1 over the last two weeks, with the only loss coming from Faith Academy (AL). Gulfport has outscored their opponents 45-15 during these competitions and are now 19-1 overall.

+ West Lauderdale – The West Lauderdale Knights move up three spots as they have settled in and are now 16-2 overall and 6-0 in their division. Winning nine of the last ten ball games, West Lauderdale now has a team ERA of 2.15 and an on base percentage of .456.

New to Rankings

+ Lewisburg enters the ranking for the first time this season at No. 16 after logging two wins last week, and moving to 13-4 overall and 4-0 in district. The Patriots have won nine of the last ten games with all four losses this season coming from Power 25 teams.
