For the fourth week in a row, Liberty Christian Academy holds on to the top spot in the Power 25 rankings. The Bulldogs held onto their No. 1 Ranking despite losing for the first time this year in a tight game with North Carolina perennial power, Charlotte Christian (2-0). Western Branch remains the highest ranked public school as they held on to the No. 2 slot with a strong showing in Florida on their spring trip. Both Liberty Christian and Western Branch are ranked nationally by USA Today High School Sports, sitting at 20th and 26th in the country respectively.

The schools in the southern half of the Commonwealth went on vacation this week, and a handful of them used their break as an opportunity to face the best teams within their region. No. 18 Nansemond River had a great week, going 3-0 with wins over No. 8 Hanover and No. 17 Jamestown.  Lee-Davis re-enters the rankings at No. 16 after defeating Douglas Freeman for a second time this spring.

No. 8 Hanover went 1-2 on the week, playing three one-run games against stiff competition, defeating No. 6 Hickory, and falling to No. 18 Nansemond River and No. 22 Great Bridge.  No. 10 Loudoun Valley continued their dominance of the North, as they tossed shutouts in both of their wins this week, including a Justin Ager (Yale) no-hitter against Broad Run.

No. 19 Oakton had a strong week that was capped off by a dominant win over No. 7 James Madison, 11-3.

No. 25 Atlantic Shores Christian showed well in week two of the Mingo Bay Classic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina before falling in the semifinals of their bracket.

Newly ranked Greenbrier Christian had a great spring trip, finishing as the runner-up in Spring Swing at Lake Point (GA).
