Scouting Report
08/20/17- Stands at 6-foot-4, 186 pounds with a tall, strong frame and room to fill out. At the plate he has a slightly open stance and looks to drive the ball with intent. Gets a good leg kick for his load and creates hard contact on the ball with a quick bat and an uphill path on his follow through. Multiple hard hit line drives during batting practice with gap-to-gap power to come. At first base he surrounded the ball and fielded it under control. Throws were accurate to second and third which topped out at 81 mph. Look for Fischer to continue to see a jump in power at the plate as he continues to develop and add to his frame.
06/28/17- Long, lanky right-handed hitting first baseman has broad shoulders and long legs with plenty of room to fill out. Athletic, long strides, ran a 7.35 60 yard dash time. Actions worked at first base, the footwork could improve, but the hands work out in front and showed sound footwork at the bag. Offensively, he uses his length to create leverage in the swing. Although the path can be steep, he generates above average bat speed for his class and the leverage creates power potential with the best exit velocity of the day at 95 mph. The path will have to shorten and level out some, but the bat speed and leverage is there to show power potential in the future.
01/08/17- The 6-foot-3, 175 pound right handed hitting 1B/3B hits from an upright stance with minimal lower half use. He has quick hands through the zone, swing can be steep at times, but there is some leverage in his long limbs. This resulted in an exit velocity of 85 mph and has some above average power potential with better lower half usage. Defensively, he makes the plays in the field playing on and off the bag at first base.
