PBR: Why did you choose Akron University?
Brubaker: I felt like it was the right fit for me. I really like the facilities and the coaching staff and what the university had to offer me.


PBR: What other schools were you considering? 
Brubaker: Ashland, Marietta, Urbana, and Sienna Heights


PBR: Where did Akron first see you? How did your relationship develop with Coach Rem? 
Brubaker: Coach Worth first saw me play at the Bob Ross Classic and again at the Miami Valley Showcase in Centerville. Coach Rem then saw me pitch at a round robin game at Ohio State and has stayed in contact with me weekly.


PBR: How does it feel to be a part of Coach Rembielak's first recruiting class?
Brubaker: I am excited because I will be apart of something great.


PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus? 
Brubaker: To come in, work hard, get stronger, and perform on the hill.


PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help Akron? 
Brubaker:  The ability to locate my pitches and by giving 110% every time I am on the mound.


PBR: Your father played professional baseball, how does he help you with the mental side of baseball?
Brubaker: He has always told me "to have a short memory and if I make a mistake, move on to the next play."


PBR: Other than your father, who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Brubaker: My mom because she is my #1 fan and knows a lot about the game of baseball.


PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio? 
Brubaker: Travis Francis of Bellefontaine.
