PBR: Why did you choose Albion?

Williams: I chose Albion College for two main reasons. Firstly was the academic prestige that the school had. Second was the fact that during the recruiting process I felt wanted. It wasn't as if "they will take me". 

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Williams: Albion was the only school that I was   considering. 

PBR: Where did Albion first see you? How did your relationship develop with the coaching staff?

Williams: I believe Albion first saw me during the fall before my senior year when I played up at CMU with my fall ball team, PK Prospects. The relationship with the coaches was a very personal one. The coaches came to see me play numerous times, showing me how dedicated they are to recruiting me.

PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?

Williams:  My first year at Albion, I am hoping to compete for the starting catcher position. I know there are things I have to work hard at both offensively and defensively to do this. 

PBR: What summer team do you play on and how has travel baseball helped your development as a player? 

Williams:  My summer team is Underwood Orr. Playing summer baseball with UO has helped me develop greatly because of the level of competition I face. Also my teammates have helped me to become the ballplayer I am today. 

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player? 

Williams:  My father has had the biggest impact on me being the baseball player I am today. He has been there for me every step of the way thus far, and has taught me much of what I know. 

PBR: What were your stats for this spring season at Gross Pointe South? 

Williams:  During the spring for south I hit .378 with 45 hits, 16 doubles, 1 triple, 26 RBI, and 14 walks. I had a .444 OBP, .529 slugging and .973 OPS. I was also a second team all-state selection. 

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Michigan? 

Williams: The toughest pitcher that I faced this year was Zach Rogers from Sterling Heights Stevenson. He really had my number this year when I faced him.
