November 6, 2013
Luke Glischinski RHP. Kings HS), Class of 2014
PBR: Why did you choose Ohio Northern?
Glischinski: ONU has strong academics, an awesome coaching staff, and a nice campus.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Glischinski: Indiana Wesleyan University
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you compete?
Glischinski: First, at an ONU camp and then at the PBR Top Prospect Games last spring.
PBR: What role does Coach Stechschulte expect you to play during your first year on campus?
Glischinski: He told me the same thing he tells all players-no promises for playing time, you have to compete for it.
PBR: Coach Stechschulte was a former MLB pitcher. How much of a role did that play in your decision, knowing you would receive some of his first hand knowledge about pitching?
Glischinski: I definitely wanted to play for a head coach who has been a pitcher. The addition of Coach Slavik from UC as the pitching coach influenced my decision also.
PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Glischinski: My brother, Ben Glischinski
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience playing summer ball?
Glischinski: Cincinnati Stix. Winning tournaments and playing beach volleyball with my teammates in between games at a Florida tournament.
PBR: What were your stats last season for Kings?
Glischinski:I was 5-1 on the season.
PBR: Who is the toughest hitter you have faced in Ohio?
Glischinski: Tucker Oliver, currently plays at Sinclair CC.
