Reed Norris, RHP/3B, St. Francis DeSales, Class of 2015
PBR: Why did you choose Marshall?
Norris: Great campus, felt like a second home that's not too far from home and still get to play great competition under a great coaching staff
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Norris: Marshall really interested me from my first talk with them and they are all I've thought about since.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you compete and how did your relationship develop with the rest of the coaching staff?
Norris: Marshall camp last fall in Dublin. My relationship developed by sending video over and updating them on how I was doing.
PBR: What role does the coaching staff expect you to play during your first year on campus?
Norris: Compete for a spot at both positions
PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that will help the Herd?
Norris: Pitching - my downhill plane and solid off-speed, it will help them because I can succeed off the mound and get wins. At the plate I'm a great up the middle, backside guy and am going to bring more power to my approach.
PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Norris: My mom, countless hours of work and taking time out of her weekends to give me the opportunity
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience playing summer ball?
Norris: Mid Ohio Bullets 16u and Ohio Warhawks 17u on weekdays. It was definitely making bracket play at the BCS finals and winning perfect game super 25.

Norris: .350 10 2Bs , 1 3B. 1.4 WHIP
PBR: Who is the toughest hitter you have faced in Ohio?
