PBR:  Where have you decided to attend college and why did you make this choice?
Western Michigan University. I chose Western because I love the coaching staff and I believe that the program is headed in a great direction. I also believe that the opportunity I have will prepare me well for my future, whether I play baseball or not.

PBR:  What other schools were you considering?
Central Michigan and Michigan both showed some interest and I considered both.

PBR:  Was distance from home a factor in your decision? 
Yes, Western is the perfect distance for me as traveling there to and from home is very easy.

PBR:  Where did the coaches first see you?  How did your relationship develop with their coaching staff?
I attended a showcase in Grosse Pointe that attracted a lot of interest. After that I went to Western's prospect camp and had a good showing there as well. From that point, the coaches contacted me and I went on an unofficial visit with a few other players where I talked to Coach Gernon about a commitment timeframe. The coaching staff was great from there on and I committed soon after.

PBR:  What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
The coaching staff expects me to compete for a starting position in the outfield my first year, which I will work hard to achieve.


PBR:  What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that will help your team?
Speed is hands down the best aspect of my game and I like to utilize it to play great defense with good range while at the same time causing havoc on the base paths.

PBR:  Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most memorable experience from this past summer?
I play for Jim Abbott's 18u Elite team and I'd say it wasn't really one moment, rather the whole season. Playing with some new guys I hadn't played with before was my most memorable experience.

PBR:  Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team going into your senior season?
We set the standard high after last season's performance, but one of our goals is to try and repeat. We also want to win the always tough OK-Red. Personally I want to continue improving my game and help to lead my team in the right direction at all times.
