Quick Hitters: SBA North Pitchers

On Wednesday September 13th PBR of North Carolina was on hand at Mallard Creek High for a Scout Day with SBA North. The Scout Day featured players from the 2024-2027 grad classes.
The evening began with catchers going through a defensive evaluation followed by pitchers throwing a controlled bullpen with Trackman collecting data on each pitch. After the pitchers the position players ran a laser timed 60 followed by batting practice on the field with Trackman collecting ball flight data. The events concluded with outfielders and infielders going through a defensive evaluation.

Quick Hitters - Pitchers
Jack Wuerdeman, LHP, North Lincoln HS, 2025
Average build with strength present at 5-foot-9, 170 pounds. Long arm swing, plunging out of the glove. Over-the-top release with average to above arm speed. Works level and on-line. Downhill with the fastball at 82-85, 2255rpm. Sink metrics with 10:45 spin tilt at release. Big breaking ball with 1/7 tilt and late depth at 70-72, 2495rpm. Change-up should cause issues at 76-77, 1448rpm with run and solid arm speed.
Mason Hill, RHP, Cox Mill HS, 2025
Lean 6-foot-1, 150 pound frame. Whippy arm through a ¾ slot. Long arm swing. Elbow works above the should line. Fastball has run at 80-81, 2098rpm. 12.2in of run on average from a release spin tilt at 1:30. Breaking ball is still developing. Change-up has promise with solid arm speed and similar window and movement metrics to the fastball, ranging 71-74.
Cooper Greene, RHP, Northwest Cabarrus HS, 2026
Lean 6-foot-3, 165 pounds. Simple, stable mechanics, repeating his line and direction. Arm plunges out of the glove. Long arm swing. Over-the-top release. Choppy rhythm. Average arm speed. Fastball at 80-83, 2065rpm. Heavy run out of the hand with 2:00 spin tilt at release. Averaged 17.5in horizontal break. Threw the breaking ball for a strike from a slightly lower slot. Sweeping action at 69-73, 2106rpm.
Braden Greene, RHP, Cox Mill HS, 2026
Average 6-foot-2, 170 pounder. High front side with some effort in the arm. Over-the-top slot. Average arm speed. Fastball up to 77.5, 1734rpm. Early run on the change-up, out of the hand, sitting at 71-72.
Brock Miller, RHP, Christ the King, 2026
Average build at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds. Medium arm swing working to load the scapular. Some pelvic tilt as he works through the leg kick. Over-the-top. Average arm speed. Fastball up to 74.6, 2142rpm. Plays true with average ride through the zone. Top to bottom breaking ball, landed for a strike consistently. Ranged 65-66, 2022rpm.
Hayden Reed, RHP, Cox Mill HS, 2024
Lean 6-foot-1, 160 pounds. Medium arm stroke with the elbow leading. Over-the-top slot. Fastball has run, thrown for a strike, ranging 76-77, 1723rpm. Change-up mimicked fastball with run and similar window, sitting 72-73, 1269rpm.
