After a busy week end of scouting, the Arkansas Oklahoma Challenge, I want to review a few players that upped their stock over the week end with strong performances on the field.

2019 RHP McKaden Templeton, Rogers HS
Templeton is a 5-foot-10 165-pound right-hander with an athletic frame and build. He commanded the strike zone consistently with his fastball 82-84 mph, with slight sink. He complimented his fastball with a sharp 10/4 slider with late break 72-74 mph. He uses repeated mechanics consistently with a tall finish. Overall Templeton is a solid right-hander with average arm speed an advanced feel to pitch.

2019 OF Brandon Ulmer- Booneville HS
Ulmer is a 5-foot-10 170-pound outfielder with an athletic frame and build. Ulmer showed a bevy of tools. Offensively he showed a compact swing with a feel for the barrel. Offensively he starts from an a slight open stance striding back into the plate, he attacks the baseball with fast bat speed using a line drive swing, maintaining balance throughout. He showed advanced run tools on a triple and defensively on balls in the air. He showed arm strength and accuracy while he threw out a runner at home. Overall Ulmer is an advanced underclassmen with multiple advanced tools.

2019 RHP Zane Cox –Dierks HS
A 5-foot-10, 160 pound lean frame. Offensively, bats from a balanced stance with bend in his knees and hips, rhythm in his hands. Uses a moderate leg lift for timing, flat path through contact and a gap to gap approach. On the mound, uses an up-tempo delivery that he repeats well, moderate arm circle, high-3/4 arm slot. Fastball keeps its plane, 80-82 throughout the game, controlled in the zone.  Curveball shows 11/5 shape with some late depth, 66-68 mph. In the game, only allowed one hit and got consistent swings and misses on the curveball.

2019 OF/RHP Tyler O’Dell -Pea Ridge HS
A physical 6-foot-3 170-pound long frame. Offensively bats from a wide, balanced and athletic set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a small, simple and quiet stride with a slight hand pump load. Is short to the ball despite his long arms with good extension through contact. Shows a gap to gap approach with some pop. Had multiple extra base hits on the weekend including an RBI double

2020 C Kaden Wilhoit- Bentonville HS
A stocky, durable build with some strength throughout. The right-handed hitter bats from a slightly open relaxed set-up with rhythm in his hands.
