With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Rossford Bulldogs

Team Name: Rossford Bulldogs
Head Coach: Phil O'Shea
Division: III
2018 Record: 12-15
Conference Record: Northern Buckeye Conference, 6-8 (5th)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/3

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Pitching
  • Defense
  • Senior Leadership 

Coach Outlook: "The core group of varsity players will be a stingy bunch. we are deep on the mound lead by Cam Reynolds. Defense should be much improved this season. We will need to get creative offensively but Pitching and defense will keep us in every game. We feel like we could beat anyone in the league but lack of depth is a concern over 27 game season, 14 game league schedule."

  • Shane Pitzen 2019 P/Utility 5'10" 180 lb  (321 avg, 4 2B, 19 RBI, 12SB/ 3.18 era 1-1)
  • Cam Reynolds 2019 6'4" 200 lb P/3B/OF (2-2 31.1 inn 3.47 ERA) MAC PWO WR (hasn't formally announced commitment yet)
  • Dillon Prater 2020 SS/P 6'2" 195lb  (260 avg, 13 RBI 5 SB) 
  • Hunter Broshious 2021 C 6'3 220lb- Started 17 games as a freshmen
