SCHSL 5A Rankings - Week 3

1. Dorman (10-1-1) 
Last Week - 2

- A 3-0 week highlighted by 2 wins over Riverside and a win over Byrnes have the Cavaliers sitting at the top spot this week. They scored 28 runs last week and Dylan Rogers capped the week going 2 for 3 with a HR and a 2B in a 13-0 win over Riverside. They will square off with a high powered Hillcrest offense this week. 

2. River Bluff (8-2)
Last Week - 1

- The Gators took 2 out of 3 from Dutch Fork in a region 5-5A series last week. This sets up another huge region series with Chapin this week. Jack Benedict threw 7.0 innings and did not allow a run on Friday. 

3. Fort Mill (12-1) 
Last Week - 3-0 

- Fort Mill improved to 12-1 on the season with a region sweep of Rock Hill. They are sitting comfortably atop the Region 3-5A standings with a 5-1 region record. Patrick Matthews finished last week 7 for 14 with 5 runs, 5 RBIs, a 2B, and a HR to lead the offense. They get Northwestern this week. 

4. Hillcrest (9-1)
Last Week - 5

- The Rams split two games with Boiling Springs last week losing game 1 14-11 and winning game two 6-4. Trotter Harlan continued his hot start hitting safely in both games. They have a huge top 10 matchup this week against #1 Dorman. 

5. TL Hanna (8-3)
Last Week - 3

- TL Hanna dropped two games last week, one to Greenwood and one to JL Mann, both losses coming by one run. Regan Reid finished last week 6 for 11 with 4 runs, 4 RBIs, and 3 doubles. They will turn their attention to Blue Ridge and Easley to try and get back on track.

6. JL Mann (10-3)
Last Week - 7

- Last week the Patriots took down Woodmont twice by 10 runs each time and picked up a win against Riverside. Peyton Nelson, Wyatt Evans, and Dylan Howard all turned in solid starts for the Patriots last week. They will get Westside twice and Riverside this week.

7. Berkeley (10-2)
Last Week - NR

- The Stags break into this weeks ranking on the heels of a 3-0 week that saw them score victories over Goose Creek and West Ashley to push their overall record to 10-2. Eric Green had 3 hits and 2 stolen bases in an 11-1 win over West Ashley. Berkeley will have 2 games with James Island and a single game with Phillip Simmons this week.

8. Dutch Fork (6-4)
Last Week - 8

- After a two and two week that saw them drop two to River Bluff and then win a single game with Mauldin. The Silver Foxes will look to build some momentum this week, but it won't be easy, they will get Lexington. 

9. Summerville (8-4)
Last Week - NR

- Cole Messina is on fire and the Green Wave won 4 games last week outscoring their opponents 57-6. There is no rest for the weary in region 8, they get West Ashley this week. 

10. Blythewood (8-4)
Last Week - NR

-  After landing just outside the top 10 last week the Bengals responded by putting up three decisive wins against Irmo in region 4-5A action. They will square off with Sumter this week and Zach Bailes will be looking to stay hot coming off of a 5 hit week. 

NEXT FIVE: Lexington, Wando, Stratford, Boiling Springs, Clover
