SCHSL 5A Rankings - Week 4

1. Dorman (12-2-1)
Last Week - 1

-  Dorman split two games with a top tier Hillcrest team last week. Dylan Rogers homered twice and the Cav's offense pounded out 18 hits in a 14-3 win on Friday night. They will host Gaffney in a region DH on Monday.

2. Fort Mill (15-1)
Last Week - 3

- The Yellow Jackets continued their strong 2019 season with a sweep over Northwestern. Patrick Matthews and JT Marr combined for 8 hits in the 3 game set. They will take on Clover in a 3 games series this week.

3. Hillcrest (11-2) 
Last Week - 4

-  The Rams topped Dorman 5-4 and Spartanburg 8-4 before dropping the third game of the week to Dorman 14-3. College of Charleston signee Trotter Harlan went deep for his 7th HR of the season in the loss. The Rams are back in action this week with Westside on Monday and two games with Riverside Tuesday and Friday. 

4. TL Hanna (10-3)
Last Week - 5

-  Hanna took 2 games from Easley last week in what turned out to be low scoring affairs. Lance Grimm highlighted the week with tremendous effort in a 1-0 win, throwing 7.0 innings and striking out 6 while only allowing  2 hits. Wade Hampton and Crescent are up next.

5. Blythewood (12-4)
Last Week - 10

- The Bengals are on fire coming off of back to back sweeps of Irmo and Sumter and a big win over Mauldin. Davis Wright, Alex Canino, & Josh Cowan combined to shut out Sumter in game 3 of that series. Blythewood will take on a scrappy Lugoff-Elgin team this week. 

6. Berkeley (13-2)
Last Week - 7

- The Stags just keep winning. They picked up three more wins last week winning two games over James Island. Cole Mitchum, Jordan Kullnat, & Rhett Legette combined to strike out 11 in Wednesdays 3-1 win. They have a huge week with two games against Stratford. 

7. JL Mann (12-4)
Last Week - 6

- JL Mann won two of three last week sweeping Westside and then dropping a single game to Riverside. Myles Daniels was stellar in a winning effort against Westside, he threw 5.0 innings allowing 0 hits, 0 runs, and striking out 10 in the 14-0 route. They will have a tough non region game with Greenville in between two games with Laurens. 

8. Summerville (10-5)
Last Week - 9

- The Green Wave took two games from West Ashley before dropping their Friday contest to Stratford. Brody Hopkins punched out 8 and collected two hits to help his cause in a 6-0 win over W.A. Summerville will face off with Bishop England and Cane Bay this week. 

9. River Bluff (9-4)
Last Week - 2

- River Bluff is 3-3 in their last 6 games. They dropped two games last week to a talented Chapin team. Cameron Ferrell & Ethan Plyer had RBIs in a 2 -1 win over Chapin last Friday. The Gators will get White Knoll this week as they look to get back on track. 

10. Chapin (10-6)
Last Week - NR

- The Eagles break into the rankings on the heals of a 3-1 week. They are also 9-2 since their 1-4 start to the season. Cade Austin struck out 12 over 6.1 innings in a 2-1 win over River Bluff last Monday. They start a 3 game series with Lexington this week.
