Scouting Notes from Brady Ward, Spencer Impellizzeri and Patrick Lavelle

Matthew Wolfe SS / RHP / Olentangy Orange, OH / 2022

Matthew Wolfe, SS/RHP, Bo Jackson Elite, 2022

Report: One of those players that it is so hard to stop watching throughout a game. Right from the start, he caught my attention batting at the top of the lineup for a very talented Bo Jackson Elite squad. The swing from the right side is quite impressive to accompany a ton of speed. On this day was able to reach base safely three times while showing a willingness to stay within and wait for a hittable pitch but also attack early in the count. Currently the 6-foot-1, 160-pound Wolfe already has a quick bat with plenty of room to maturity physically. Defensively, he might even be more impressive as a prospect where the athleticism leads to confidence in the glove at shortstop. More than enough arm for the position which should allow him to stick there moving forward in this career.

*Hit a double that bounced off the top of the wall and came back into play barely missing a homerun. Gap to gap power is present but homerun power is starting to make its presence known in this young hitter*

Alex Nemunaitis RHP / SS / Ottawa Hills, OH / 2022

Alex Nemunaitis, RHP/SS, Toledo Missiles, 2022

Report: A standout player for this Missiles team. In the first game on Friday, collected 4 hits including two triples and a double. Very athletic prospect who stood out at our recent ACME/Defiance Showcase as one of the intriguing young talents in attendance. Motors around the bags and carries quiet confidence with his play style. Carries his athleticism over to the mound and is a strike-throwing machine. Faced a very good Motor City Hit Dogs offense the day he threw and was not benefited by a lack of help from his defense. Fastball is in the high 70s right now while he did touch 80 mph last week but competes with whatever he has on that day. Breaking ball is a quality offering as well.
