Season Preview: Ouachita Warriors

PBR Arkansas jumps into High School coverage. All information was obtained through the High school coaching staffs. We look forward to covering Arkansas on the road to the state tournament!

2017 Season: 14-12 record, lost in state quarterfinals

Conference: 1A-7 East

Ouachita is returning 8 starters from a lineup that made a state quarterfinals appearance last year. Replacing all-state pitcher/outfielder Andrew Swaim, now playing for Henderson St., will prove to be tough, but this is a lineup with several proven upperclassmen who have contributed since their freshmen seasons. Just like last year, Coach Nail has stacked the schedule with teams from several classifications above the Warriors including Camden Fairview (5A), Haskell Harmony Grove, Gurdon, Fouke, & Prescott (3A), and Texarkana - Pleasant Grove (4A - Texas). These games should pay dividends down the road in the conference season and into the postseason.
