Several Illinois prospects name their schools



Several Class of 2012 prospects from around Illinois pick their schools:

Jake Hickey, an athletic 6-foot-1, 195-pound catcher from Lincoln-Way East HS, has committed to Rend Lake College. The strong-bodied Hickey is a sub-7 runner who has a strong arm behind the plate.

McHenry County College landed two players: OF Alex Obenauf (McHenry HS), OF Nick Samuels (Prairie Ridge HS).

Matt Bryne, a MIF from Cary-Grove HS, has committed to Iona University. John Kaimakis, an OF from Wauconda HS, has committed to Heartland CC.

Nathan Webb, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound SS/RHP from Goreville HS, has committed to Southeastern Illinois College. Webb helped lead Goreville to the Class 1A state tournament in 2010 and 2011.

Former New Trier LHP Ryder Borre, who’s a sophomore at Heartland CC, has committed to Eastern Kentucky University.
