Southern Wisconsin Open: Preview
October 13, 2021
On Saturday, Oct. 16, the PBR Wisconsin team is headed back to STiKS Academy in Waukesha to host its annual fall showcase, the Southern Wisconsin Open . Since 2013, we’ve hosted this end-of-the-year showcase as we all prepare for the offseason ahead. This showcase is open to all high school graduating classes and registration remains open.
Amongst last year’s roster, was recent Arkansas commit RHP Jonah Conradt (P27 Academy, SC, 2023), formerly of Hortonville. This event provided an opportunity to identify need-to-know prospects headed into the offseason, as players who should be on the radar next spring.
Here are some more familiar names that attended last year’s Southern Wisconsin Open: C/RHP Reece Stangel (Roncalli, 2022), 3B/RHP Ethan Brown (Waukesha West, 2023), INF/RHP Colton Angell (Oshkosh North, 2024), and OF Dylan Mass (Franklin, 2022; Saint Leo commit). This year’s roster contains a mix of graduation classes, ranging from classes 2022-2025.

We’re excited to get an end-of-year look at this year’s roster full of new faces, right before the intensive seasonal development window.
Here’s a two-way we’re looking forward to seeing this weekend: RHP/OF Kegan Schlichting (Oshkosh North).
6’3, 165 OF/RHP Keegan Schlichting puts a charge into this deep fly out to right center. Tall setup with plenty of leverage through the big part of the field. Solid looking athlete with high academics for @GRBRays yellow 16u.@PBRWisconsin | #PBRatTheRock pic.twitter.com/t2Z1oIehP4

One of the arms to keep an eye on at this weekend's event is 2023 RHP Tristan Arnold (Mukwonago).
