2017 TEAM PREVIEW: Mooresville pioneers

Class: 4A
2016 Record: 14-15
Conference (2016 Record):  Mid-State
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/4

2017 Team Strengths:

• Defense
• Speed
• Aggressiveness  

Top Returning Players:

• Tanner Haston, SS, 2018
• Justin Peck, OF, 2017 
• Jordan Stoddard, C/P/3B, 2018
• Connor Hurt, 1B/P, 2019 

Outlook:  Mooresville's loss in the sectional finals drives the returning players to want another shot.  With 7 returning everyday players, the Pioneers should compete at the top of the Mid-State conference.  Offensively, they are led by Tanner Haston (Purdue commit).  Coach McGaha expects this young, maturing group to be playing at their best come playoff time.
