Team Preview: D'Iberville

The Mississippi high school season kicks off on February 26, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 29, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.
Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25.
We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. Outlook
After winning only seven games in 2018, Coach Cragin Gilbert and the Warriors have higher expectations in 2019, as they return five starters and three pitchers. The Warriors have a roster full of experience and will look for this maturity and offensive production to carry them through the 2019 campaign. Logan Trosclair will lead the roster as he is coming off a solid junior season where he hit .381 and drove in 10 runs. Freshman Logan Forsythe (Mississippi State commit) will also be a big piece to the puzzle as he logged over 30 innings on the mound and finished with an ERA of 3.69.
