Top Performer Report

Checking in at 5-foot-10, 165lbs, the '23 RHP/SS makes exceptionally good use of his frame in order to make his stuff competitive on the mound. Harrigan moves well in the middle infield and in the box as he is a natural athlete with above average feel for his body. Harrigan was a no doubt top performer at this scout day as he post a 6.78 laser timed 60 yard dash, an 87 MPH exit velocity, ran it up to 90 MPH across the diamond from short, and hopped up on the mound and topped out at 88 MPH. Everything else aside, Harrigan truly shined on the mound. Working primarily from the stretch, Harrigan flashed a FB, CB, CH, SNK arsenal, where the sinker actually performed as a true sinker with horizontal and heavy vertical break. The FB held around 86-88 MPH with life into the top of the zone, all while tunneling the CB nicely off it. Harrigan is able to throw the CB with a similar release point to his FB to where they stay on plane with each other up until just before home plate, making the CB a no-doubt swing and miss pitch. Harrigan could benefit from throwing a SL to play off his heavy ASR sinker. For the time being, the curveball thrown to the bottom of the zone, as he so comfortably does, will work. As far as efficiency goes, Harrigan nearly embodies that. For having the frame he does, Harrigan makes very good use of his athleticism and is able to create well above average velocity in nearly all facets of his game.
