McTagertt has the ability to impact the game in a multitude of ways, starting in the right-handed batter's box. The 6-foot-3, 180 pound athlete with wiry strength has very quick hands with an efficient lower half that allows for his hit-tool to show up in-game on a consistent basis. There is obvious twitch within the swing that allows for impact, making it easy to project for more power as he adds strength to his long-levered frame. Behind the dish, Drew is a flexible receiver with one of the best catch & throw tools in the class. McTagertt has a very quick transfer with plenty of arm strength, 80 mph from the crouch, translating to pop times in the 1.91 - 2.01 range. McTagertt offers defensive versatility as his athleticism translates to the outfield, as well.
