Unsigned Senior Spotlight: Kaleb King (SLUH)

The 6-foot-2, 160-pound Kaleb King (right) is a projectable and athletic outfielder who shows well in all facets of his game at both showcases and game situations. King should be a staple in the middle of the St. Louis University High lineup this season; and his offense will be looked upon to drive in runs and produce some power in a line up that lacks power, but gets plenty of runners on base.

Defensively, King shows quick, athletic movements to the ball and displays an accurate arm with some carry (79-81 mph). With his body type and mechanics, he should add some velocity on his throws. With his speed (7.23 in the 60) and athleticism to the ball, King can be a difference maker roaming the outfield.

At the plate, King had quick hands and a level, line drive producing swing, with pull power. He had good extension through contact with backspin carry.

Currently ranked No. 71 in the Class of 2013, King has the tools to move up in the rankings as we get into the season, and should not remain unsigned for long.
