Unsigned Senior Spotlight: RHP Ryan Vargo (Clearview)

6-foot-3, 173-pound right-handed pitching prospect with big, athletic frame. Throws from a high ¾ arm slot with quick arm action. Delivery requires some effort. Fastball sat 84-87 mph with some run to it (showed 86-89 mph a couple weekends later at unaffiliated event). Curveball sat at 66-67 mph with late 11/5 break. Needs to continue working on consistency of command. Also displayed a 74 mph cutter with some slight bite to it. Changeup sits at 80 mph with straight action. 

Over the past month, Vargo has seen his stock increase with attention from Division I and Division II programs. He will be an interesting following this fall and will surely be one of the top arms left on the board if he is unsigned come spring.
