Today’s spotlight is on unsigned senior Evan Fraliex.  Fraliex is a 6-foot-3, 215-pound RHP/3B from perennial power Lexington Catholic HS. 

On the mound, Fraliex shows solid, repeatable mechanics with good balance and quick arm speed.  He features a heavy 85-87 mph fastball that tops out at 88.  His tight, late breaking 11/5 curveball sits at 72-74 mph and is a legitimate swing and miss pitch down in the zone.  Fraliex still has some room to fill on his frame, so look for more velocity to come in the future.

Fraliex also shows solid potential as an offensive corner infielder.  He displays good infield actions with a strong arm across the diamond.  At the plate, he hits from an open stance and uses his lower half well to create barrel whip through the zone.  Fraliex displays a good swing path with projectable power to all fields.

Look for Frailex to provide senior leadership on the mound and at 3^rd base as the Knights look for another 30+ win season, and try to advance out of the always tough 11^th region to get to the state tournament.
