Jordan Martin, SS, Grant County HS, Class of 2013

Today’s spotlight is on unsigned senior Jordan Martin, a 6-foot, 175-pound shortstop from Grant County HS in Dry Ridge.

Martin has an athletic build and shows good infield actions.  He has a quick transfer and release with short arm action that combined with good arm strength gets the ball across the field quickly.  At the plate, Martin uses a slightly open stance and squares his front side well.  He shows good balance and uses his lower half very well to generate good bat speed through the zone.

Martin is coming off a very good summer offensively and defensively for the Cincy Flames.  He will be participating in the Unsigned Senior Games Showcase at St. Catharine College on Oct. 14.
