Weather has been a decided issue in the early going of the 2014 season. Some teams have yet to play their first official games while others have managed to get in a handful of contests around the rain and snow.

Very little has changed in the Elite 8 rankings for this week with the exception of Herbert Hoover (5-0) moving to the top spot and Chapmanville Regional (3-0) entering at No. 8 respectively in the Class AA rankings.
