Updated and Expanded Class of 2015 Player Rankings

With fall events wrapped up and a break before our scheduled winter events, it is time to update and expand the class of 2015 player rankings.  The rankings, which previously included the top 75, has been expanded to 110 players.

There is no change at the top as Riley Thompson (Christian Academy of Louisville) remains in the No. 1 spot.  The 6-foot-3 right-hander, who committed to Louisville over a year ago, has fully recovered from a non-baseball related injury that kept him out of action for awhile, and his velocity was into the low 90’s during the summer while pitching for the Ironmen Baseball Club.

Zeke Pinkham (Elizabethtown HS) moves up one spot to No. 2.  The left-handed hitting catcher will take his talents to Louisville in the fall of 2015 as he committed to the Cardinals earlier this fall.

Daniel Neal (South Laurel HS), a member of Team Kentucky at the Midwest Future Games, occupies the No.3 spot.  The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Neal has big-time power and has been drawing the interest of SEC and ACC schools.

Cameron Shryock (South Warren HS), also a member of Team Kentucky at the Midwest Future Games, checks in at No.4.  The lanky, 6-foot-2 right-hander was up to 88 at the Top Prospect Games in June and pitched two scoreless innings at the Future Games

Zach Hurley, another member of Team Kentucky at the MWFG, rounds out the top 5.  Hurley is the top two-way prospect in the class.  His fastball tops at 88 mph, and he displays good secondary stuff as well.  He is a 6.72 runner with 88 mph arm strength, shows some pop at the plate, and uses his speed well on the base paths.
