Welcome to the VA/DC Scoreboard. This year we will run our scoreboards on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We will always be sure to include scores and brief recaps of games involving Power 25 teams and will strive to get as many of the rest of the scores from the Commonwealth and the District as well.

 

Saturday 4/7

No. 11 Lake Braddock 8, Fredericksburg Christian 5
The Bruins came back with a big fifth inning to stay undefeated. Andrew Schaeb was 2-3 with 2 walks and Connor O'Grady-Walsh and Jay Cassady each had 2 RBIs in the win, Cassady was 2-2 with 2 walks as well. JT Carter and Joel Tarrh had multi-hit games for FCS.

No. 19 Nansemond River 9, Lakeland 2
The Warriors jumped out with 5 in the first inning and cruised to a win. Ben Grady had a double and 2 RBIs and Ayden Stuffel had 3 RBIs in the win.

Senior JT Inskeep (VMI) had a monster day, going 2-3 with a home run, a double, 2 RBIs, and two walks in the win.

No. 16 Westfield 13, Langley 4
Senior Joe Clancy had a home run and 2 RBIs and Danny Leo was 2-3 with a double and 2 RBIs. Derek Furr struck out 6 in two innings of relief. Langley scored the first runs of the season against the Bulldogs.

No. 17 Wilson 17, Phelps A.C.E. 0
Noah Gold was 3-4 with 3 RBIs and struck out 8 in a 3-inning, 1 hit shutout win.

Jay Woolfolk was 3-4 with a double and an RBI and Bennett Lloyd and Casey Green (Coastal Carolina) both had multi-hit games with an RBI for the Cadets. Diego Doran was 2-3 with 2 RBIs and a walk for Atlantic Shores.

No. 5 Battlefield 7, Osbourn Park 2
Zach Agnos (East Carolina) struck out 8 and allowed 2 hits in a complete game while also going 1-4 with an RBI at the plate. Craig Miles was 2-4 with a 3B and 2 RBIs and Carter Cunningham (Gardner-Webb) had a double and an RBI.

No. 7 Miller School 23, Virginia Episcopal 0
Nickolas Yowell had a home run, Jacob Exum had 4 RBIs, and Vince DiLeonardo had 3 RBIs for the Mavericks.

No. 8 Liberty Christian 13, Brookville 0
Christian Gordon (Liberty) struck out 12 in 5 innings of 2-hit ball while also going 1-2 with 2 RBIs. Emmanuel Johnson (Liberty) and Bailey Reynolds also had 2 RBI games for the Bulldogs.

No. 12 Mills Godwin 10, Hermitage 1
Bryce Safferwich (James Madison) was 2-4 with 3 RBIs and Noah Berringer (Hampden-Sydney) was 3-3. Spencer Rife (Randolph-Macon) threw six strong innings. Max McShaw had a home run for Hermitage.

No. 13 Hanover 12, JR Tucker 2
Sam Lipscombe was 2-2 with a home run, 2 walks, and 2 RBIs and Blake Doggett (Randolph-Macon) was 2-4 with 3 RBIs in the win. 

No. 14 Highland 17, Trinity Christian 0
Blake Cuddington, Eddie Gimbel, and Ty Gravett all had 3 RBI days for the Hawks.

No. 16 Westfield 3, Chantilly 2
The Bulldogs came back from a 2-0 deficit after four innings to stay unbeaten on the spring. Joe Clancy struck out 8 in five innings but issued 6 walks, Nick Lottchea and Danny Leo threw perfect innings in relief. Travis Blee was 2-3 and Kevin Mackmin drove in the winning run in the top of the seventh for the Bulldogs. Kyle Hodinko was 2-2 with a walk and Dylan Siesky (Lafayette) had a double and an RBI for the Chargers.

No. 20 Potomac 5, CD Hylton 1
A one run game headed into the sixth inning saw Potomac pull away with four in the bottom of the sixth. Brody Mack (William & Mary) threw 6 innings of 1-hit ball with 7 strikeouts in the win, Michael Perez threw well for Hylton, throwing 4 hitless innings. Carlos Carvallo was 1-3 with 2 RBIs for Potomac.

No. 22 Patriot 15, Forest Park 5
Andrew Casey, Brian Wilson, and Eli Serrano all had 3 RBIs each in the win as Patriot stayed undefeated. Bert Redding struck out 8 in 3 innings of relief.

No. 23 Stafford 7, Massaponax 0
Michael Tolson threw five innings of hitless ball and struck out 9 as he and Grant Fuller combined on the shutout. Caleb McAlister was 3-4 with 2 doubles, 3 SBs, and an RBI and Tucker Sullivan was 3-4 with an RBI and a stolen base.

Luke Binstead was 3-4 with 3 RBIs and Jake DeLisi (King) struck out 8 in 6.1 innings of work while also going 1-3 with a triple, an RBI, and a walk in the win.
