Class 3

Tabb 4, Brookville 3

The Tabb Tigers were able to hold off a late 7th inning rally to defeat the Brookville bees 4-3 and advance to the 3A state championship game on Friday. Tabb was able to take advantage and score all of their runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, getting four runs off timely hitting, with Connor Kenned opening the inning up with a two run home run.
Brookville finally got on the board in the top of the seventh inning as Kevin Breimann led the inning off with a solo home run to left. After a walk, Zach Thompson would quickly follow with an RBI triple to make the score 4-2. An RBI groundout from Kyle Pollock made the score 4-3 with one out. Tabb then went to Trey Stover over who was able to close the game out for the Tigers and preserve the 4-3 victory.
Fluvanna 5, Brentsville 4

Jacob Critzer's walk off 7th inning home run propelled the Fluvanna county Flucos to a 5-4 victory over the Brentsville District tigers in the class 4A State semifinals on Thursday night.
It was a back-and-forth game Thursday night as the match up saw multiple lead changes in the game. Brentsville was able to take an early 1-0 lead off of a solo home run from Sam Beard. Both teams would go back and forth with four lead changes.Brentville was able to tie the game up in the sixth inning overcoming a 4-3 lead with a big Billy Hoad RBI single
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Fluvanna's Critzer came up to the plate with one out in the game and sent a pitch sailing over the left-center wall to send the Flucos to the championship game.
Kritzer led Fluvanna with two hits in the game. Andrew Ward got the win in 2.2 innings of relief.
Hoad led Brentsville with two hits and an RBI and the game.

Class 4

Riverside 3, Great Bridge 0

The Riverside Rams advanced to the 4A state championship game behind a complete-game shutout from picture Gunner Canary as the Rams defeated Great Bridge 3-0 on Thursday morning.
Riverside was ableto take the first lead of the game in the third inning from a Carson Swank single that scored Sajon Belser.
The Rams would tack on another run in the fifth  inning as they were able to forcing a balk from the the opposing pitcher with a runner at third base, allowing him to score.
Riverside would add one more run from an RBI off the bat of Ryan Murray in the sixth inning.
Canary was brilliant on the mound, going the whole way, scattering five hits and striking out seven in the shutout.

Lafayette 8, Liberty Christian 2

The Lafayette Rams were able to get six runs in the third inning and held on to defeat the Liberty Christian Bulldogs by a score of 82 on Thursday afternoon.
A passed ball is how Lafayette would get the scoring started in the third inning. that was followed by an RBI single from Ozzie Torres and a two-RBI double from Geo Rivera.  The Rams would get timely hitting as well as take advantage of an LCA error to end up with six total runs in the inning.
Liberty Christian would answer in the bottom of the frame with a two-run home run off the bat of Pell Collins. That however was all the bulldog offense would be able to muster against Lafayette starter Geo Rivera.
Rivera would go 6.1 innings giving up two runs in the game in a we-pitched performance against the tough Bulldog offense. Lafayette was able to tack on two more runs in the top of the seventh to get to the eighth to final. Lafayette was led by
