Today we give you Week 7 VA/DC Power25 rankings update after another week of impact filled competition from across the Commonwealth and DC area. Private schools are beginning to near their conference tournaments prior to the VISAA playoffs, which is just around the corner.

Starting at the top it may come as a surprise to you, but there is still no change at the No. 1 spot as Benedictine again takes home the ranking after suffering their first setback of this season. It took some late inning heroics, but the Cadets were knocked off by VISAA Division II power Miller School on Wednesday after Benedictine was able to work out a close victory over previously ranked No. 7 Highland on Tuesday. Strength of schedule with two top 15 opponents this week gives us the nod to keep them on top thus far.

Lots of movement as five new faces enter the top ten. Miller School, Halifax, Patriot, Godwin, and Hickory all are in the top ten after being outside last week.

Five is the number of the day this week as we also see five new teams in the rankings after being previously unranked. Hampton, Sherando, Thomas Dale, First Colonial, and Page County all see themselves entering the Power25 this week.
